Music of Nier edit

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your interest in improving Music of Nier; however, I'd suggest you read (well, skim) Wikipedia:Manual of Style (lead section) (aka WP:LEAD). The lead section of an article is a summary of the rest of the article, and as such does not include any citations- there should be nothing in the lead that is not also in the main article, cited. In this specific case, check out the fourth paragraph of "Original Sountrack" and the second of "Arrange Tracks" - that's what the reception part in the lead is summarizing. --PresN 17:34, 2 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

BioShock 2 Nomination edit

Hello, I (Dom497) have reviewed your nomination and has come to the conclusion that the article is not yet achieved good-article status. I do have to admit that the article is very close to archiving the status and passing the review. Please go here to see what needs to be fixed in order for the article to potentially pass the review.--Dom497 (talk) 16:29, 4 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Early access edit

I think you are pushing boundary limits by splitting off the early access titles into their own table. Between the four different categories (beta, early access, free-to-start and free-to-play) it was argued at WP:VG that the free-to-play model was sufficiently different to justify an independent table, but I don't think the same argument could be applied to beta or early access titles. I would prefer using a Beta or Early Access tag in the release date wndow for those games. — TPX 11:56, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Take a look at Template:Yes-No. We could use {{TBA|Early Access}} or {{beta|Early Access}} or {{scheduled|Early Access}} and update them with the final release date once they come out of early access. — TPX 19:31, 20 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

PlayStation 4 & Xbox One edits. edit

Could you please name the titles that you're putting release dates to? I think it's kind of hard for me to get a sense of which titles you're adding release dates to. Thank you! Zacharyalejandro (talk) 17:14, 28 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hey there Zacharyalejandro... you trying to create more work for me?? :P... Just kidding, I most certainly can start doing that. Mordecairule 17:26, 28 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'm not trying too, well...maybe :P But thanks again for replying. I'm currently doing that on the Nintendo 3DS games, so I thought, hey maybe I should ask Mordecairule if he could follow my pattern. Of course, this might be a bit of work for me and possibly you, but there are a lot of references missing from the list and that I might be of assistance in helping. Question is, do you know what references fit to that list as well as the Xbox One list? Maybe Gematsu, IGN etc.? Zacharyalejandro (talk) 19:14, 28 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
Ya, I can start trying to add references. IGN, Gematsu, Game Informer, Kotaku, Polygon are usually decent references. I've been trying to clean up a lot of bad/missing information. I also know for a fact there are a LOT of games missing from the PlayStation 4 list. Let me know what you need help with the most and I can try and help tag team things with you. Mordecairule 19:45, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Time date sorting edit

Do you have any objection if I switch to abbreviated release dates on the Xbox One list? Making the date column shorter will assist with readability. — Niche-gamer 21:43, 2 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

I would oppose to that idea. It just seems a bit silly to do that when I like using the full months better, what's wrong with readability that way? Wouldn't it be the same? Zacharyalejandro (talk) 22:35, 2 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Abbreviated form (e.g. Jan, Dec) creates more width in the first three columns. This is useful for readers with small or standard computer monitors that cannot output at very high resolution, where the information appears compressed on screen. The current table looks a complete mess on millions of screens but if you have a modern monitor you won't notice the problem. See Template:Dts for the various options. — Niche-gamer 09:36, 3 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

To help illustrate the problem, here is how the PS4 list appears to millions of Wikipedia visitors: Screen grab And here is the how the Xbox One list appears to these same people: Screen grab The release date column (September 10, 2017, September 10, 2017, September 10, 2017) dominates the page to the detriment of the first few columns. — Niche-gamer 11:28, 3 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

I personally don't have an issue making it better to read for everyone. Maybe we can add it to the talk page on the XB1 list and see if anyone else has anything to say? Mordecairule 15:34, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
Yeah, I should have presented the question to the XBO talk page first. — Niche-gamer 16:36, 5 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
It's okay, not many people usually contribute there so I'm not expecting a lot of responses, but always good to just have documentation of discussion before changes :) Mordecairule 16:47, 5 September 2017 (UTC)

Missing titles edit

Just a heads-up. I generally try to abide by wp:notability when adding PS4 games. That is to say: if a game has an existing Wikipedia article, or if there are multiple sources that make a game remarkable in some other respect, I will add it to the list, sooner or later. Otherwise there are a lot of games that aren't noteworthy by Wikipedia standards. Particularly the smaller stuff or games that receive zero reviews. As the guideline says, Wikpedia is not a comprehensive catalogue. — Niche-gamer 21:39, 22 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Okay, good stuff! I think that sounds good to me. Mordecairule 13:57, 26 September 2017 (UTC)

Changing date formats edit

Hey there, just a short heads-up to ask you not to change date formats to mdy if dmy formatting was previously established. Most articles should carry a "{{Use [format] dates}}" tag at the beginnig or end of them, if those don't exist, go by what is most prominent within the visible text. More information can be found at WP:DATERET. Lordtobi () 16:49, 19 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
