Hi. I noticed that you changed the name of the Christian Hayes article to Bic Hayes, but haven't updated any of the articles that already link to the original page?

Melanie Woods (musician) moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Melanie Woods (musician), is not suitable as written to remain published. It appears there is a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 14:44, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

I thought that the article met the notability guideline for musicians: "has been a member of two or more independently notable groups"; "Members of two notable bands are generally notable enough for their own article." There is no conflict of interest as I do not know the subject of the article, nor have I been paid by anyone to make it. Miklogfeather (talk) 15:29, 24 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Anni-Frid Lyngstad edit

She is not royal, and her name should not be changed to make her look royal. "Princess Anni-Frid [without surname]" = fake and embarrassing to her. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 15:20, 10 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'm just going by what the sources say.[1][2] It's not about making her look more or less royal. Miklogfeather (talk) 16:22, 10 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Maximum of 10 reviews in table form per Template:Album ratings edit

Hello. Regarding your additions of 20 scores to Cracker Island, see Template:Album ratings. There should be no more than 10 reviews in table form. Also, Rolling Stone no longer awards stars. The American version of the magazine announced this last year. The review you linked to does not have a star rating. The icon that says "Hear This" and has stars in it is not the score; it is a logo. Please bear this in mind in future. Thank you. Ss112 05:33, 25 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Apologies, I wasn't aware of the 10 review limit. Should certain outlets be prioritised over others for inclusion?
I thought it was agreed on the Midnights article that the Rolling Stone logos still count as scores, hence why it's still listed, and aggregators still seem to treat it as such. Miklogfeather (talk) 11:32, 25 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

PNG vs JPEG edit

FYI, the MediaWiki thumbnailer makes PNG (.png) images appear blurry. PNG compression is also inefficient for photos and video stills. PNG generally works well for simple shapes, text and diagrams as it's lossless. JPEG (usually .jpg) is more efficient and looks better on photos and video stills, just remember to set the compression to high quality. (in applications where the quality is set as a percentage: 95% or higher) JPEG is bad for text though, see JPEG#Typical use.
The MediaWiki thumbnailer sharpens JPEG thumbnails which makes them look much better, it doesn't do this for PNG because the sharpening looks awful on high contrast text and shapes.Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 11:16, 11 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Oh yeah, I used a Chrome extension to screenshot the video which saved as a PNG and I didn't think to change it to a JPG, my bad. Miklogfeather (talk) 11:44, 11 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
