Camila Cabello

Thanks, but I didn't create the page. Someone else created a page for Camila Cabello now that she's a solo artist you must of mean't the time I created one before she was a solo artist when she was still in the group ... times change... ---WeLcOmEtOtHenEwMiLlEnIuM (Talk) 4:10, 2 March 2017 (CST)

No worries. Still glad for your contribution, Welcometothenewmillenium! Megalibrarygirl (talk) 16:58, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

Desiree Gruber

I will tune this up next 24 hours; I have a ton of stuff I can use for her.

Question: How can I get the "G" capitalized in her name on the page - the page currently says Desiree gruber at top. I can't sort how to fix this. Do you know?

Sorry 2b a problem child. THANKS! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnsaavn (talkcontribs) 23:33, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi Johnsaavn! Don't worry about it. I fixed the name on top of the page. I added one reliable source. Don't use IMDB as a source on Wiki, it's not considered reliable. If you have any questions at all, holler at me or ask on the Wikipedia:WikiProject Women or Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red talk pages. We're a very helpful bunch. ;) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 23:36, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi - I tuned up Desiree Gruber Page

Re: Desiree Gruber

No more Lifetime links, etc.

All third party stuff, from very big places (ChicagoTrib, Variety, etc.)

Is it OK to remove the "page needs work/add third party sources" text you put in there?

I want you happy! Please advise - thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnsaavn (talkcontribs) 21:08, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi Johnsaavn, it does look a lot better. I removed it. By the way, don't forget to sign your posts with ~~~~. It's important to get in the habit of doing that. Don't worry about not knowing all the wiki-rules: it'll become second nature in no time! Megalibrarygirl (talk) 21:21, 6 March 2017 (UTC)

Day Without a Woman

If you're interested! Draft:Day Without a Woman. ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:04, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

We talked about this last night in a meeting here in Mexico! Our solidarity contribution will be *to shop* in Mexican stores owned by Mexicans/women and buy only local products, no imports from norte. SusunW (talk) 19:26, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
That is so awesome, SusunW. I'm not sure what's planned for El Paso... yet. Though I suppose I could do the same, head over to Juarez, which I've been wanting to do for awhile. ;) And thanks for the heads up, Another Believer. I also added more to the article Protests against Donald Trump. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 19:46, 2 March 2017 (UTC)

I can't thank you enough for your contributions to this article! ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:24, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

March4Trump

Based on your work on Trump protests, I wonder if you might be interested in working on Draft:March 4 Trump. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 23:56, 25 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Another Believer, I'm always game to take a look. ;) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:17, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks! I know we've both been working on anti-Trump protest articles lately, but I'm just trying to be neutral here... :) ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:18, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
@Another Believer:, IMHO, it's all related and I agree that it's important to try to be neutral... though it's not always easy. ;) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:30, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
Right there with you... ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:38, 27 February 2017 (UTC)

LOL, president of Gays for Trump didn't like my edits. ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:25, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

Actually, he keeps editing the article and I'm starting to fear accusations of edit warring, even though I'm just trying to keep the article sourced and free of COI editing. Do you mind adding the page to your watchlist in the short term? He's not taking my advice of suggesting edits on the article's talk page. No worries if you aren't interested in policing... I'm just looking for a little backup! ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:55, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
Maybe we could request page protection? Also, how do you think we could add this information, Another Believer, [1] Apparently, one of the Trump supporters has become an "internet sensation." Megalibrarygirl (talk) 19:41, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
I posted a note at the COI noticeboard, so hopefully proper actions are taking place. I suppose the Berkeley paragraph should be expanded using the source you mentioned? ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:44, 9 March 2017 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

  The Barnstar of Diligence
Thank you for doing such a wonderful job of providing additional details, refs /cites for Patricia Traxler... You found many legitimate items that never surfaced for me during my research... plus your skill in adding to and fixing the content already on the page is a real plus. Your experience and attention to detail is noted and appreciated. I have not worked on too many Wiki things... there is a learning curve of which you have passed beyond... --- I am hoping that this page is near to being able to have the "consider for deletion tag" removed. -- Sincerely... limestone9 Limestone9 (talk) 20:16, 10 March 2017 (UTC)

Women's club movement

Hello! I'm new to editing and joined the GOCE to get some experience. I claimed your request for the Women's club movement, but upon reading through it I'm just not sure how much editing it needs! You're a great writer and contributor and I think a more experienced copy editor might be able to give you the review you're looking for. –gwendy (talk) 13:57, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi Gwendy! Thanks for the compliment. I've never submitted an article for GA, so I wasn't sure what might be needed for the process. Any tips at all are appreciated. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 21:07, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 13

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Georgia Blizzard, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jonathan Williams. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Can You Assist or Provide Info On Removing Deletion Tag?

Hello - can you assist with and or provide me info on what the process is or, how to request that the "deletion" tag be removed from the Patricia Traxler article? Along with your additions and improvements to the page and KEEP comment.... I see that another viewer (4 total, not including myself) has provided reason to KEEP the article. Per the initial review by Oluwa2Chainz on February 22, 2017, I'm hoping that his concerns have been addressed, and that this page might be considered accurate to Wiki guidelines. Thank you -- Limestone9 (talk) 13, March, 2017 —Preceding undated comment added 20:33, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Limestone9! The AfD will close soon, but I'm not authorized to close them. It should close as a keep. If it doesn't, I'll appeal, since it's obvious she's notable. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 22:36, 13 March 2017 (UTC)

Thank you! I appreciate the response and support.... and what you are doing - I read a bit about your endeavors on your page... Limestone9 (talk) 13, March, 2017 (UTC)

DYK for Maymie de Mena

On 16 March 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Maymie de Mena, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the American Leonie Turpeau, the Nicaraguan Maymie de Mena, and the Jamaican Madame Aiken were the same person? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Maymie de Mena. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Maymie de Mena), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Your Wikipedia:WikiProject_Women_writers edit, here on Erika Grey

Hello, Megalibrarygirl:

Thank you for weighing in with your recent Wikipedia:WikiProject_Women_writers edit, here on Erika Grey.

However, with all due respect, I notice that you didn't weigh in on the attempt to delete this author, at this link: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Erika_Grey.

While I was not one of the early editors, my objective review of the entry seems to suggest that it warrants KEEPing. Regardless of your views, could you please weigh in here? Thank you.96.59.129.57 (talk) 18:48, 15 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi 96.59.129.57! I didn't weigh in because I wasn't sure about it. I'm still not sure so I'll hold off for now. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 19:02, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
That's fair enough. Thanks for reviewing. Since this may be somewhat of a close call, it might be good to slowly look at all the comments, both on the deletion page, as well as the article, itself. If, indeed, this is a borderline case, then Erika Grey can be used in future Votes for Deletion discussions to show where the cutoff line or standard is. (But, as electronic encyclopedias can include more, and since there seems to be some notable mention by WP:RS, and adding in her busy daily schedule & other misc. things, like books, it may not be borderline after all - but I'm just thinking aloud LOL.96.59.129.57 (talk) 04:10, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

Insight to adding names / links to Category type pages

Hello - Please recall you worked with me a few days a back on the Patricia Traxler article. As you might have seen the deletion tag was removed shortly after the last time we communicated !! I would like to do a bit more in adding Traxler's name to such pages as Category:Writers from Kansas, Category:American women poets and similar... but on looking to "edit" those pages, find myself lost as to How To... thanks for any insight or guidance you might provide. I tried reading up on it, but no luck in understanding the process. Thanks in advance. -- Limestone9 (talk) 21 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi Limestone9, i use WP:HOTCAT (Wikikit stalker - meowr!) ps. i just added a cat using it.  Coolabahapple (talk) 07:33, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
Limestone9, I agree with Coolabahapple! I also like to use WP:HOTCAT. It makes adding categories easier. The instructions on how to use it are on the link. If you get stuck/confused, let me know! :D BTW, are you going to be writing more Kansas women's bios? Just curious. There are a lot of good writers from there! Megalibrarygirl (talk) 19:44, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

Sorry for the delay in responding; I've not checked back in for a few days. Thanks I will review WP:HOTCAT --- Per adding more women's bios - perhaps. I know of some that probably should be included and I see a couple that need to be enriched... it's just a matter of grabbing / taking the time to do so. Some are on this list (on this site that I do) potentially could be considered (I say some, as many are good writers, just not so much not yet notable... perhaps) see page > kansaspoets.com/kansas_poet_index.htm -- Limestone9 28 March 2017 (UTC)

"Nasty woman"

Sorry to keep bugging you all the time. I stumbled upon the AfD discussion for "Nasty woman" and thought you might be interested in either working on the article or contributing to the AfD discussion. If not, no worries! ---Another Believer (Talk) 04:06, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

Laia Martínez i López isn't part of Art+Feminism

Hi Megalibrarygirl,

I have seen that you put {{WIR-AF 2017}} in Talk:Laia Martínez i López. I think that this article doesn't participate in Art+Feminism because it was created by Santamarcanda as part of World Poetry Contest in Spanish Wikipedia, you can check it the information about it, the articles and the authors that participate.

I don't know how works AF 2017 in en-wiki, does participate any article about womens?

I await your answer. Thanks in advance.

Regards, Ivanhercaz   (Talk) 19:51, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

@Ivanhercaz:, sorry, I thought it might have come about because of the edit-a-thon. Feel free to remove! :D Megalibrarygirl (talk) 20:08, 27 March 2017 (UTC)
Don't worry! If I have time I would try to make some contribution to AF, here or in Spanish Wikipedia. Thanks for your work! Regards, Ivanhercaz   (Talk) 20:18, 27 March 2017 (UTC)

RfA

Hi Susan. I'm looking for editors who the community could trust with the administrator user right; we're losing far more admins than we're gaining through RfA right now and it's my belief that there are plenty of great editors who we could be nominating. I noticed that you're a prolific content editor (really great articles by the way!), extremely civil and friendly (something we often lack in administrators), and from what I've seen of your editing history I think the community would be happy to trust you with the extra buttons. I notice, however, that while you have a lot of great experience at AfD, you haven't spent as much time at other administrative venues (at least as far as I was able to see, feel free to correct me!), so I wanted to first ask whether you would be interested in being an administrator, and if so, which areas of the encyclopedia you could see yourself using the tools in. Best, Sam Walton (talk) 13:03, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi Samwalton9! I appreciate what you wrote very much. I've not given much thought to becoming an administrator before. In addition, I'm not entirely sure what that may entail and what kinds of responsibilities are involved. I am always interesting in becoming more involved onWiki, so I would be interested in learning more. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 16:13, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
WP:Administrators is the place to go for an overview. Practically, you could do as little or as much as you wanted - some admins focus on one area of administrative work, and others do bits across the board. Being content focused I suspect that areas that might interest you could be closing AfD discussions, working on the main page (WP:ITN/C & WP:ERRORS for example), and responding to requests for page protection. You already know what is and isn't suitable for articles on the encyclopedia, so it would only be a case of learning how those processes work. You should also have a read of Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates, though in my opinion that page is primarily geared towards scaring users away from the process. RfA voters generally prefer a candidate who has much more content experience than administrative experience like yourself rather than vice versa, but might rather that you got some experience in areas such as nominating pages for speedy deletion, or anti-vandalism work (WP:AIV) before trusting you with tools such as user blocking. If you'd like a better idea you could put our name down at WP:ORCP. Best, Sam Walton (talk) 17:30, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
Hi Samwalton9. I'll definitely give it some thought. You've given me a lot of think about and read over. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 19:40, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) By extraordinary co-incidence, I was thinking of the same lines. I'm a bit frazzled after CaroleHenson's RfA, so I'm not looking to do any nominations for anyone for a while, but it would be nice to see some more administrator candidates. The initial problem I see is that when I look at your AfD stats, only about 68% of your votes tally with consensus, and people like to see around 75%. However, I see extenuating circumstances; for example at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shawna Pandya you made a valiant effort to improve the article, while everyone else just shrugged their shoulders and said "delete - meh". That's not particularly encouraging, and in that case, I think your "keep" vote in the AfD was absolutely fine. You've also got a lot of AfDs that closed as "no consensus". So in actual fact I think you understand what AfD is about pretty well if you ask me. You don't have any particular interest in CSDs, and some RfA voters like to see that, but I dare say a number of articles you've worked on have been CSDs you've declined and improved, in which case you might want to think about creating something like User:Ritchie333/saves if you don't already have it. I don't have a CSD log, but I threw that list full of speedies I'd turned around and got through DYK, and it was deemed a suitable replacement. I've said this before, but I'll say it again - anyone who has got the chops and the skills to do the sort of article rescue work I've seen you do can wander over to AIV with no experience and do a better job than the administrators who hang out there (and create a plain and simple guide for everyone to follow), so I think this line of "all admins must have anti-vandalism experience" is a load of horse hockey myself. Anyway, what I would recommend is have a chat with CaroleHenson who seems to have taken the first RfA as a calling sign to try and be one of the best admins on the block (see User:CaroleHenson/Admin-in-training for some of the stuff we're working on). MelanieN is another editor who is always on the lookout for administrator candidates, so they may be able to offer further advice. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 17:54, 24 March 2017 (UTC)

I would be happy to talk to you - share learnings and insight, etc.–CaroleHenson (talk) 18:07, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
Thank you, Ritchie333. I am often on the "keep" side of things and I think my arguments are sound at AfD. It's encouraging to see another person understand what's going on, rather than just looking at raw numbers. :) I think I'll take your suggestion about making a saves page. I do fix up quite a few of those. :) Also, thank you, CaroleHenson for the offer. I'll be able to talk after I come back from the Wikiconference in Berlin. I'm sure I can chat there, but I suspect my head will be stuffed with info at the time. ;) I'll hit you up early April, if that's OK. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 15:46, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
We could have done with you at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jemma Green. I would say there's no rush - think about whether adminship is something you really want first of all (as you can see from a contemporary thread on my talk page, a bunch of us are having fun with article writing that has nothing to do with the mop and bucket), then if it is, have a look at some of the links to see what work you'd need to do to work towards being in a suitable position.
