Hello! I saw this article about my city. It was full of wrong information, violating copyright laws by directly copying data from websites and providing information that was not useful. So, I have written it from scratch providing as much relevant information as I can along with citations. Now, the article is complete according to me and I have nominated it for good article and I want you to review it. Please let me know if there is anything missing or anything relevant or anything not following Wikipedia standards so that I can correct it. Hey all :)

Just a quick update on what we've been working on:

• The centralised feedback page is now live! Feel free to use it and all other feedback pages; there's no prohibition on playing around, dealing with the comments or letting others know about it, although the full release comes much later. Let me know if you find any bugs; we know it's a bit odd in Monobook, but that should be fixed in our deployment this week.
• On Thursday, 7th June we'll be holding an office hours session at 20:00 UTC in #wikimedia-office. We'll be discussing all the latest developments, as well as what's coming up next; hope to see you all there!
• Those of you who hand-coded feedback; I believe I contacted you all about t-shirts. If I didn't, drop me a line and I'll get it sorted out :).

• Teahouse pilot wraps up after 13 weeks After being piloted on English Wikipedia starting in February, the Teahouse wrapped up its pilot period on May 27, 2012. We expect this is just the beginning for the Teahouse and hope the project will continue to grow in the months to come!

• What you've all been waiting for: Teahouse Pilot Report is released! We look forward to your feedback on the methodology and outcomes of this pilot project.
• ....and if a pilot report wasn't enough, the Teahouse Pilot Metrics Report is out too! Dive into the numbers and survey results to learn about the impact the Teahouse has made on English Wikipedia.
• Teahouse shows positive impact on new editor retention and engagement

• 409 new editors participated during the entire pilot period, with about 40 new editors participating in the Teahouse per week.
• Two weeks after participating, 33% of Teahouse guests are still active on Wikipedia, as opposed to 11% of a similar control group.
• New editors who participated in the Teahouse edit 10x the number of articles, make 7x more global edits, and 2x as much of their content survives on Wikipedia compared to the control group.

• Women participate in the Teahouse 28% of Teahouse participants were women, up from 9% of editors on Wikipedia in general, good news for this project which aimed to have impact on the gender gap too - but still lots to be done here!
• New opportunities await for the Teahouse in phase two as the Teahouse team and Wikipedia community examine ways to improve, scale, and sustain the project. Opportunities for future work include:

• Automating or semi-automating systems such as invites, metrics and archiving
• Experimenting with more ways for new editors to discover the Teahouse
• Building out the social and peer-to-peer aspects further, including exploring ways to make answering questions easier, creating more ways for new editors to help each other and for all participants to acknowledge each other's efforts
• Growing volunteer capacity, continuing to transfer Teahouse administration tasks to volunteers whenever possible, and looking for new ways to make maintenance and participation easier for everyone.

Hey Mathew,

There's a request for a (relatively) short notice GA review at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Disability#GAN_1962_Commonwealth_Paraplegic_Games, and you poped into my head as someone as someone who can pull a good, thorough GA review out of the bag for that sort of thing. Hi, thanks for the comments and in particular the opening remark. My mother has promised some of his daffodils for my birthday later this year. There is only one place in Britain that appears to sell them and, living in Whitefield as I do, it will be nice to "bring them home". The only snag is, I am not remotely green-fingered & there could well be a case of narcissus murder before next spring!

Perhaps the blockquote issue bothers me the most, but probably there's no fixed rule, so ..... I'll drop it. This man and these botanists are wonderful to read about. OK, thanks very much. I will bear the unresolved comments in mind and in particular I will be checking on my use of "teetotal" vs "the teetotaler". I am really pleased that you enjoyed the content as a "story". There is quite a bunch of these people, including one or two women (particularly unusual, at that time, especially in pubs). I've recently created Category:Botanists from Lancashire because the movement was significant and more articles will follow. I like social history even though I really know nothing about botany. If I ever get to Manchester Central Library, which has been shut for a couple of years for refurbishment, then there is a chance that I may take this one to FA. - Sitush (talk) 23:19, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

yes, these people are quite remarkable. I've run across articles about people like this before. Even Charles Darwin, who had a medical education, seems to have been largely self educated and driven by the pure desire to seek knowledge and his love of nature. Hi Mathew, I just saw the thread on WT:GAN. I passed Brushstrokes series a couple weeks back, do you think their is too much non-free content on that? Please take the GA fail as a opportunity to clarify your thoughts about what you want in the article Unionskirche, Idstein - in fact there may be more than one article on the material e.g. one on the church (building), one on the paintings, one on present day music, etc.

No, you didn't, add to blackness I mean, it just seemed so fitting ;) I didn't enjoy the appearance of BWV 76 as lead DYK on 7 July 2011 at all, but now - as you hopefully saw - I proudly present it myself. Unionskirche: you are right about many things, please allow some time to act on it. (I thought I had seven days, I really did.) - I do a lot of reviewing for DYK, always trying to improve the articles. GA is too high for my language skills, - but it's my initials ;) - Did you see (on my talk) that you were already part of turning the blackness to brighter when you reviewed Noel F. No, I didn't understand about the blackness (and didn't see Noel F. Parrish on your page), but I'm glad I didn't contribute to it! Without the hold, you don't have to hurry. You'll have time to think. It sounds to me that your interest may be more the paintings and the present day music than the church itself. So you could retitle (or start a new article) on the subject of you interest rather than to learn architecture etc. (If you're not interested in architecture, then learning it could be a chore.) Could you explain more what the links to BarkingMoon mean? and why it was "blackness"? I think you can write the article any way you want. It's only if it comes up for review e.g. GAN or FAC that questions of organization, compliance with MoS standards etc. arise. Many editors write for their own pleasure and not to collect rewards! well, I did follow a bunch of links and ended up on a page where the last comment made to BarkingMoon was by an admin who is now banned forever, User:Will Beback. Next day, after church (the other one): easy answer, but not too helpful: I don't know. Or, as the one you mentioned above (and "forever" meens 6 months) said: "We'll never know the true story". Trying to unfold a bit: I was a happy content editor, not caring about the background of WP, until Rlevse became a victim of WP:Great Dismal Swamp in November 2010. I couldn't believe it, posted against it, but then shrugged and returned to content. When BarkingMoon appeared in May 2011, enough people thought he was a sockpuppet of Rlevse to make him leave. (You know what SPI means?) - This time I did what I could to fight it. It took a while but was rather successful. Now he could return.
