Speedy deletion nomination of Khurnak Fort edit

Hello Marlisco,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Khurnak Fort for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks,

Replaceable fair use File:Pithoragarh Fort.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Pithoragarh Fort.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 01:28, 10 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Ramnagar Fort Udhampur.gif edit

Thanks for uploading File:Ramnagar Fort Udhampur.gif. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:02, 10 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Rangia railway station edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Rangia railway station, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Rangiya railway station. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 08:48, 1 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reorganizing the Indian National Highway system?? edit

Hey, unless India has just majorly reorganized its highways, your edits look like some serious vandalism to me. Please stop and explain what you are doing. Thanks, Wbm1058 (talk) 04:08, 14 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

This is an attempt to reorganize the pages on Indian Highways to the new numbering system. After initial editing of the individual pages, it would be moved to the appropriate titles. Thank you for your patience. Marlisco (talk) 04:12, 14 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

So I'm looking at List of National Highways in India by highway number and see "On 28 April 2010 the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways officially published a new numbering system for the national highway network in the Gazette of the Government of India." Have they changed the numbering system again, only four years later? Wbm1058 (talk) 04:19, 14 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

No they haven't changed that specified numbering. Those changes/reorganization were not reflected in most Wikipedia pages till now. Marlisco (talk) 04:26, 14 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

I see. I just found List of National Highways in India by old highway number. So it shows that the old 27 is 93 km long, whereas the new 27 is 3507 km. It's been a very long time since America changed its numbers on this kind of scale, but I think if it happened here again, our editors would be more prompt with the updates. I'm glad to see you working on this and will remind myself to give you a barnstar when you're finished. It would be nice if you could also update the articles to indicate what the old highway number was and when the number was changed. You can request the page moves at WP:RM/TR. Cheers, Wbm1058 (talk) 07:08, 14 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the support. I have done with the first 50 titles and will request for a move soon. I will update the articles too once the page move is finished. Marlisco (talk) 07:14, 14 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: Gujarat Files edit

Hello Marlisco. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Gujarat Files, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: this is not an attack page within the meaning of WP:CSD#G10, which is for pages that "disparage, threaten, intimidate, or harass their subject or some other entity, and serve no other purpose". If you think it should be deleted, nominate it at WP:AFD.

I deleted the talk page of the article, where you left a welcome message and a speedy-deletion notice. Those should have gone to the user talk page of the article author, not to the talk page of the article, but they are not now necessary. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 08:14, 12 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Aadhaar edit

Hello, Marlisco. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Aadhaar".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Onel5969 TT me 16:35, 5 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

External links in Wikipedia articles edit

Hello Marlisco, thank you for your efforts to improve Indian Institute articles. However, I have removed some of your recent link additions to the lists in these articles. Proposed deletion of National Common Mobility Card edit

The article National Common Mobility Card has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No inherent notability . No project named National Common Mobility Card is either government of india or National Payments Corporation of India

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
