How was it not constructive? Someone made the title of the memorial of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur be named Banda Bahadur Bairagi which is a untrue name and disrespectful, it's false information and should be changed ji. Lovepreet Singh Bahadur (talk) 17:02, 7 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Lovepreet Singh Bahadur 'Banda Bahadur Bairagi' is one of the many alternative names of Banda Singh Bahadur. It used in literature as well, such as on page A85 of Encyclopaedia of Indian Events & Dates (2009) by S. B. Bhattacherje. Therefore, it is a valid alt. name for the warrior. Why do you find it disrespectful? Wikipedia is not censored due to any individual sensibilities, btw. Also, please always cite a reliable source in the future whenever you make changes to an article. Read wp:or wp:brd and wp:editwar. If you are reverted it is down to you (per WP:ONUS) to get wp:consensus for your edits. Slatersteven (talk) 15:45, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

why are you reverting my edits? There is nothing bad about it, it's just giving more of a description after Guru Gobind Singh Ji Lovepreet Singh Bahadur (talk) 18:48, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
and I said human because it's misinformation to say Guru Gobind Singh Ji was our last Guru, Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our last and permanent Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji is our last Human Guru, not last Guru. Lovepreet Singh Bahadur (talk) 18:51, 17 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
And I am now issuing a formal warning, if you revert again with out getting consensus at the talk page I will report you. Make a case there. Slatersteven (talk) 11:42, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
could you at least give a reason of why you reverted my addition? It's not wrong to say Guru Gobind Singh Ji wasn't Sikh Guru, with saying they were would spreading misinformation. I also added the history after Guru Gobind Singh Ji such as Baba Banda Singh Bahadur, The Misls and Dal Khalsa. Could you please give a reason please? Even on Guru Gobind Singh Ji's page it says they were the last Human Guru. Even ThePunjabi who is a good editor on here approved the edit by sending a thanks to me, please let the edit stay up as it would be correcting misinformation. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Lovepreet Singh Bahadur (talk) 15:38, 18 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I did in both summaries. This is not the only change you made, and I am unsure how to approach a religious claim. Thus greater input is needed, hence why you need to get consensus on the article talk page. Slatersteven (talk) 12:10, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

You also need to read wp:rs and wp:v. Slatersteven (talk) 17:09, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

But I really wasn't though, I was editing a section involving killings of Muslims and I just said it wasn't true as many Muslims loved Banda Singh Ji and even joined their army, if it's because I didn't cite a source then ok but I shall not just not do anything when I see slander.   Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Akal Sena, Guru Gobind Singh and Khalsa Fauj. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - 18:05, 13 July 2023 (UTC) Arjayay (talk) 18:05, 13 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

English capitalization

edit

The word "of" is never capitalized if part of a title. For example: battle of Delhi would be spelt as 'Battle of Delhi' as a title and never as 'Battle Of Delhi'. ThethPunjabi (talk) 07:47, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

That is true, its a bad habit of mine of capitalize of, sometimes I don't and a lot of times I do, I will try to work on it and not capitalize. Lovepreet Singh Bahadur (talk) 08:00, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
