MOS:ACCESS and MOS:COLOR on Australian Survivor pages

Hi there! There has been some issues regarding the consensus by Survivor task force. There is a user that had been reverting my edits because there "isn't a consensus" and because "the Australian edition shouldn't be subjected to those edits". I'd like some support to address them and apply those changes there too, please. Freddy7GL (talk) 22:59, 1 February 2024 (UTC)

well, quite simply, there is policy that states these miss, and an RfC that says "follow the MOS". Anything going against this is vandalism at this point. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 07:11, 2 February 2024 (UTC)

German Masters held-over qualifiers

Hi Lee, thanks for cleaning up the 2024 German Masters article! I noticed that you moved the held-over qualifier part of the prose to the Qualifying section. I agree that the held-over matches should be counted as qualifying rather than main stage, but the century breaks in those matches are counted in the qualifying centuries section. Also, other recent tournament pages still treat those matches as part of the main event. Perhaps it's worth a wider discussion about whether we should change this, and include it in MOS:SNOOKER?

I can go back and update other articles, at least for this season, to make it consistent. Though with the WST live score site in shambles it might be a bit tricky. AmethystZhou (talk) 20:19, 3 February 2024 (UTC)

Sure. We have to treat the centuries as they are measured by the sport, but that doesn't mean those matches aren't qualification matches. We don't put the held over matches in the main draw for example. I do think it's worth ironing out, but I think it's better as it is now. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 21:07, 3 February 2024 (UTC)

DYK for 2024 Masters (snooker)

On 7 February 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article 2024 Masters (snooker), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that after winning the 2024 Masters, Ronnie O'Sullivan is both the youngest and oldest winner of the tournament? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/2024 Masters (snooker). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, 2024 Masters (snooker)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

TFA for 1984 World Snooker Championship

Also pinging @BennyOnTheLoose. Per the (recently removed) listing at WP:TFAP, I've got 1984 World Snooker Championship down as the April 21 TFA. No need to do anything if this works for you two. Let me know if there's anything I can do. - Dank (push to talk) 02:24, 11 February 2024 (UTC)

WikiCup 2024 February newsletter

The 2024 WikiCup is off to a flying start, with 135 participants. This is the largest number of participants we have seen since 2017.

Our current leader is newcomer   Generalissima (submissions), who has one FA on John Littlejohn (preacher) and 10 GAs and 12 DYKs mostly on New Zealand coinage and Inuit figures. Here are some more noteworthy scorers:

As a reminder, competitors may submit work for the first round until 23:59 (UTC) on 27 February, and the second round starts 1 March. Remember that only the top 64 scoring competitors will make it through to the second round; currently, competitors need at least 15 points to progress. If you are concerned that your nomination will not receive the necessary reviews, and you hope to get it promoted before the end of the round, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. However, please remember to continue to offer reviews at GAN, FAC and all the other pages that require them to prevent any backlogs which could otherwise be caused by the Cup. As ever, questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup and the judges (Cwmhiraeth (talk · contribs), Epicgenius (talk · contribs), and Frostly (talk · contribs)) are reachable on their talk pages. Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove your name from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. Edits

Wikipedia:WikiProject Cue sports

I had a few edits that I believe are correct. A user deleted them. I think it is true. Maybe some of my edits (which were not finished yet) had errors. But the user deleted all my edits in bulk. Tell me what is wrong with the following two edits?

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Union_Mondiale_de_Billard&oldid=1209731279#Events

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Conf%C3%A9d%C3%A9ration_Europ%C3%A9enne_de_Billard&oldid=1209766032#CEB_Championships

In my opinion they are correct and should be returned.

Wikipedia:WikiProject Cue sports :I don't know how to make articles. Can I order users to create articles here?

HC0011 (talk) 09:01, 24 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi. What you've done is add a load of uncited information and linked it to the German Wikipedia, which we shouldn't do. This has been suitably reverted.
No, you cannot order people to make articles. You could perhaps ask someone nicely if they wanted to. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 09:35, 24 February 2024 (UTC)
