Wrestling GARsEdit
Hi Lee Vilenski. I know you have an interest in Wrestling and the Good Article process so was hoping you could look at a few articles for me. There are three John Cena, Shawn Michaels and Triple H that have had a {{GAR request}} since March/April this year. It looks like the same editor that nominated Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Cody Rhodes/1. I am not sure what to do about them. On the surface they have lots of tags that would normally result in a pretty quick delisting, but I know from experience that the editor likes to tag bomb articles. Could you have a look at them if you get a chance. AIRcorn (talk) 09:35, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Aircorn Sure. I'm pretty out of it at the moment, so I'm kind of behind, but I'll take a look when I get some time and energy. Hope you are well. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 13:04, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- The John Cena one is particularly bad in my opinion. It is clearly in need of a split (it's over 220,000 bytes in length), and has a lot of unsourced statements throughout. On a more minor note, it has an awful lot of badly placed wikilknks, either duplinks, or no links where there should be one (for instance rapper in the lede). I would support a demotion without major work on this one. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 13:36, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks. I will start a GAR on that one and ping you to it. AIRcorn (talk) 20:54, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Aircorn I will take a look at the others soon, I promise! Could you look at my article at Ina Kaplan? It was also nominated for the same GAR process, but I feel it was in haste. I don't want to remove it as promoter though Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 18:23, 28 November 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks. I will start a GAR on that one and ping you to it. AIRcorn (talk) 20:54, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
- Sorry busy busy. I had a quick look at yours, it seems like a new editor getting a bit keen. I always find these a little delicate as we need as many editors involved in the process as possible, but they do need to understand the criteria a bit better. You are handling it well. I don't want to pile on at this stage and I will get to this article in due process so have no fear on that regard. Thanks for looking into the wrestling ones. List of world snooker championsEdit
Hi! Please review my recent changes to List of world snooker champions and amend as appropriate. Mid-table probably isn't the best place for the addition, but that's where the request for clarification had been. Thanks! BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 22:02, 5 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hi BennyOnTheLoose the actual text looks good - I'd suggest it being written as a note (such as {{efn}}) so it doesn't stand out so much on the table. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 11:17, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

ThanksEdit
I'd never used the "thanks" feature found on the page history... so I tried it for you after you changed the biography class on the page I linked. So anyway, thank you! --gobears87 (talk) 20:05, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
- No problem. Yeah, you get a ping type notification (I'll send you one so you know what happens.) I should mention that references don't have to be implicit (with footnotes), you can have an article with a load of references at the bottom, and it be deemed to be referenced. However, there were a lot of issues with the first article, so I changed it to start. (Whoever wrote it doesn't know what a paragraph is.) The other one could probably be upgraded, but I only skimmed it, and I didn't feel like I was suited to do that. Have a great day. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 20:13, 9 December 2019 (UTC)
- I don't think I got a "ping" but that's ok. Thanks for looking at those pages... the first wasn't horrible but really did need references and so much of the content was opinion! The Beatrix Farrand page is actually quite good and needs at least a C rating if not B. I'll consider it or mention on its talk page. :-) Thanks again! --gobears87 (talk) 20:17, 9 December 2019 (UTC) EDIT: no ping but I now see the notification - cheers!
