Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 00:07, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Liz. I totally understand.
Unfortunately, at this time, with this society being small and only recently getting better known in Richmond, British Columbia, there are no new references or citations I can bring to it. Maybe in the future, but not for now.

Speedy deletion nomination of Sea Island Heritage Society

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sea Island Heritage Society requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, society, or group that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Sea Island Heritage Society moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to Sea Island Heritage Society. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Liz Read! Talk! 05:00, 20 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Liz.
I am doing this on behalf of the Board for the SIHS. I advised them that we have the same issue we did when we first tried to write a SIHS article.
Unfortunately, I don't believe it will meet the Wikipedia treshold for notability.
The article can be deleted. The Board understands that it is not possible to create the article without more sources to establish notability.

Speedy deletion nomination of OWL (Orphaned Wildlife) Rehabilitation Society

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on OWL (Orphaned Wildlife) Rehabilitation Society, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Hi there,
I have tagged the page as advert instead. Thanks! Myrealnamm (💬pros · ✏️cons) 19:54, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Quick question, are you connected to the subject in any way? Such as, do you work for them? Also, I have tagged the page for an Article for Deletion. You can also participate. Myrealnamm (💬pros · ✏️cons) 19:56, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
Hi,
Yes, I am a volunteer at OWL. Before creating the page, I wrote the text on a Word document and had the OWL supervisor review it for accuracy.
Thanks.
