To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the
button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.

Your response to this question on Praxidicae's page is completely unacceptable. You need to either reply with an explanation of what you mean by being "the new Wikimedia training intern at the university of edinburgh", or remove the statement from your userpage. If you do neither, you will be blocked from editing. Also, I would like to know what you mean by posting a template on your userpage where you ask other people to "remain civil, and be calm, patient, helpful, and polite", while you yourself speak rudely, as you did on Praxidicae's page. Being civil doesn't qualify as one of the "intricacies" of Wikipedia; incivility isn't tolerated just because you're new.
