Hi Jossyluv, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I noticed a few issues with some of your edits, and wanted to share some relevant Wikipedia policies and guidelines with you:

  • External links guideline: External links should generally not be placed in the body of an article, and there are limits and guidelines for the types of external links that should be added to articles.
  • Linking Manual of Style: Avoid wikilinking commonly understood terms (called overlinking). Also, make sure it is clear what page the linked text goes to. For example, you linked the word "page" to the PageRank, but those are different topics, and would confuse readers who expected to go to a page about "pages"
  • Verifiability policy and reliable sourcing guideline: If you're adding a source, make sure it is reliable. Also, make sure that it supports the text you're using it as a citation for. The text on Wikipedia should be a direct summary of the cited source, without editorialization.

Please let me know if you have any questions. If you haven't seen it already, Help:Introduction is a great tutorial for contributing to Wikipedia. Best, Politanvm talk 15:46, 18 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Jossyluv, one other thing to be aware of is the "minor edit" checkbox. The checkbox is only meant for things that don't change the meaning of an article at all, like fixing typos or reverting vandalism. Things like adding sources or external links wouldn't be considered minor. You can read more about it at Help:Minor. Best, Politanvm talk 17:18, 18 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Mirrors

edit

Thanks for contributing to the article Solna Municipality. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. I hate to have to tell you this, but any sources for the court decision need to discuss the actual decision, not the issues. Doug Weller talk 14:58, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Machine translation, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. As mentioned earlier on your talk page, the purpose of citation is to verify the claims in the article. A completely unrelated reference is not a valid citation. Even if it is from a related topic, it must back up the specific claim it follows. Politanvm talk 23:00, 20 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

You even changed a quotation because you didn't like its grammar

You also don't understand our sourcing policy & are changing spellings that are correct

edit

See WP:RS, WP:V and WP:ENGVAR - some articles use American spelling, some British, and you are changing spellings so they don't match variety of English used in the article. Doug Weller talk 09:04, 21 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Now l understand. Thanks Jossyluv (talk) 08:11, 22 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
