Welcome edit

Hi, Jonghyuk. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  01:03, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Speedy deletion nomination of Jong-Hyuk Nah edit

A tag has been placed on Jong-Hyuk Nah requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb1 (talk) 04:04, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

May 2009 edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Jong-Hyuk Nah. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. ttonyb1 (talk) 04:14, 25 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

New articles edit

Please don't copy and paste articles from other sources. Articles submitted to Wikipedia should be your own original authorship that you are agreeing to release under the Creating Commons Attribution/Sharealike license, not something you copied from someone's thesis paper. --B (talk) 04:10, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Korean English edit

A tag has been placed on Korean English requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Speedy deletion nomination of Postsocialism edit

A tag has been placed on Postsocialism, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Proposed deletion of Postsocialism edit

The article Postsocialism has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sources given to verify that this is a real, widely-accepted concept.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. rʨanaɢ talk/contribs 20:15, 23 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Postsocialism edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Postsocialism. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Postsocialism. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:09, 3 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Pacific literature edit

The article Pacific literature has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced, unlinked, orphan, at best an attempted dictionary definition - and doesn't make sense. If "Pacific literature" means anything, it doesn't "denominate... various territories...", but perhaps describes literature from writers from these territories, or more likely from particular much smaller regions - see http://www2.hawaii.edu/~lll/promote.htm and http://uhpress.wordpress.com/books-in-series/talanoa-contemporary-pacific-literature/ as a couple of Google hits. This stub does not benefit Wikipedia.

PamD (talk) 17:13, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
