Speedy deletion nomination of Representational Action State Transfer

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Representational Action State Transfer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Proposed deletion of Representational Action State Transfer

edit

The article Representational Action State Transfer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable concept. The article appears to be authored by the same person who wrote both cited references (apparently the same cited reference published in two separate locations). Google scholar notes no citations for Ng's paper. This borders quite close to something made up one day. As time passes, it may catch on to be a notable concept, or it may die on the vine as so many other ideas have. Until we know for sure, we should wait to create an article about it.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Proposed deletion of Web tasking

Ms Ng,

I have marked your user page as a "copy paste" violation. This is less than a speedy deletion tag, but the message to you should be the same: it is a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policy to copy text verbatim from other websites, even if the other website is your own biography on another site. That website has not explicitly released the text of your bio under any license compatible with Wikipedia, and without going through the copyrighted material donation process, we really have no idea if you are truly the Joanna Ng described in the bio, so that you might reasonably be allowed to release the rights to such material.

I would recommend that you rewrite your user page to define give a briefer background about yourself and how you will use that background to help improve the encyclopedia. A link to your bio page would be appropriate, so editors can click through and read your very impressive CV. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:10, 6 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Cognitive IoT

edit

Hello, JoannaNg. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Cognitive IoT".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 04:11, 2 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
