Hello, Jack Dikian, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!

In particular, you might like to have a read of WP:FAKEARTICLE from the Wikipedia:User pages policy. I have added a special template to the top of your userpage to let people know that it's a page for a Wikipedia editor and not a Wikipedia biography of a living person, just so there's no confusion. Hello Jack

edit

I'm a long time editor and admin around here. Looks like you have an interesting background that would be helpful here. If you get the chance, please stop by my talk page and say hello. I will be happy to answer any questions. As you can probably tell, we have a lot of rules about user pages being too promotional and such. We see so much of that, and have to draw the line. Looks ok for now though. Anyway, I've been here 7 years and found it to be a nice break from the real world, and I'm always up for welcoming new editors, helping them find areas of interest where they will enjoy editing, etc. Hope to talk to you soon. Hey there,

As you can imagine, we get a ton of spam around here, so people tend to get quick on the trigger when they see someone who has only edited their user page with bio info. Editing Wikipedia is actually very rewarding. There are a lot of rules, I will admit, but most of them are pretty common sense: If you add contentious facts to an article, it has to be backed up by a citation in a reliable source. That kind of stuff. What I strongly recommend is visiting the teahouse above. You can ask questions and get answers from people who literally spend most of their time here helping others. I probably spend one quarter of my time editing, the rest of the time as "admin" and helping people, just I'm doing here. Another section worth looking at is our WP:HELP. You seem like a sharp guy, so I'm sure you will catch on quickly. It IS a little intimidating at first, I completely understand. The key is to get a feel for what we do, and find an area that you like to edit in. For instance, I belong to WP:Wikiproject North Carolina, as I moved here 20 years ago and find researching, learning then writing articles on my new home interesting. I've written stuff like Lexington Barbecue Festival and North Carolina Wine Festival. Nothing earth shattering, just stuff about the area. Others will join WP:Wikiproject Psychology or WP:Wikiproject Medicine to meet and work with people that have similar interests. These are informal groups, you just "join", then they group up articles that need work or need creating. Often it is easier to learn the ropes with people who have similar professions and interests. This should get you started. If you have more questions, drop a note on my talk page, but I will answer here so you have a record with links. Thanks again for joining the community, I think you will enjoy it. Dennis Brown - © Join WER 23:34, 16 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Systogram moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Systogram, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion of File:Systogram symbol.png

edit

The page File:Systogram symbol.png has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appeared to be a blatant copyright infringement of http://appliedpsychologyresearch.blogspot.com/2014/11. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition has been deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, you may contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion ReviewDiannaa (talk) 12:36, 22 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Jack Dikian! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Draft:Systogram, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted material from other websites or printed works. This article appears to contain work copied from http://appliedpsychologyresearch.blogspot.com/2014/11, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate your contributions, copying content from other websites is unlawful and against Wikipedia's copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are likely to lose their editing privileges.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:

It may also be necessary for the text to be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

See Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries for a template of the permissions letter the copyright holder is expected to send.

Otherwise, you may rewrite this article from scratch. If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Draft talk:Systogram saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.

Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! — Diannaa (talk) 12:40, 22 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Replying to your email. We need to have documentation that shows the copyright holders have given permission for the material to be copied to this website. Wikipedia has procedures in place for this purpose. Please see WP:Donating copyrighted materials for an explanation of how to do it. There's a sample permission email at WP:Consent. — Diannaa (talk) 00:31, 4 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Replying to your email. It doesn't do any good to send me emails telling me that you are the copyright holder. You have to sent an email to the Volunteer Response Team, releasing the material under a compatible license. There's full instructions at WP:Donating copyrighted materials.— Diannaa (talk) 02:48, 5 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Replying to your email. Deleting the blog does not remove the copyright issue. Once content is published, it's copyright. Besides, it still exists on the Internet, as a copy was saved by the Wayback Machine, here. For information on how to create a draft, see Wikipedia:Drafts. Regardless of the copyright issue, we don't publish original research, so your draft is unlikely to be accepted for publication. — Diannaa (talk) 13:23, 14 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Systemic hypothesising

edit

The article Systemic hypothesising has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional article created by editor who is only here to add his own publications to Wikipedia. Not a notable topic.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
