Flower (Meerkat) edit

This article has been nominated for deletion (or has already been deleted). Don't be discouraged! Many of us have had articles deleted, especially early in our wikicareers. Deletion is not a reflection on your editing but simply the application of our standard rules, particularly WP:NOTABILITY (and WP:BIO for persons, WP:WEB for websites, WP:CORP for companies, WP:MUSIC for bands, and so forth.) Looking forward to your future contributions, Herostratus 04:21, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Flashportal.com edit

Hi - the reason this article was deleted twice was because if you create an article about a website, you need to show that the website is notable (or important). This is usually done by providing links to the website to show that it has been mentioned elsewhere, perhaps by newspapers, magazines or other well-known websites. (see WP:WEB).

However, you can't use links that have been created by the subject (so, for example if you created a website about your school, you couldn't use a youtube.com film about the school that you filmed yourself). Hope this helps! EliminatorJR Talk 12:13, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Axe-C-Dent edit

A tag has been placed on Axe-C-Dent, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. List of minor Robot Wars contestants (UK) edit

As per the title, please do not edit List of minor Robot Wars contestants (UK). You are causing problems with the article redirection. It was decided through THIS AfD not to delete minor articles on Robot Wars, but instead to merge them into a single article. If you insert links into the merge article, then anyone clicking on them is merely redirected back to the original article. Thankyou. EliminatorJR Talk 18:50, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please read the above message again. You edited List of minor Robot Wars contestants (UK) and caused problems with the redirects. Thankyou. EliminatorJR Talk 19:05, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

OK, I'll explain. On a large number of occasions, it has been suggested that the articles on the various robots in Robot Wars should all be deleted, because they don't meet Wikipedia's standards for notability (see WP:NOTE). However, some people thought that was a bad idea, because some of the robots are quite famous (for instance, Chaos2 or HypnoDisc). So instead of deleting everything, it was decided that the famous robots should remain, but all the other articles should be merged into a single article (List of minor Robot Wars contestants (UK)). The original pages will now point to that article. EliminatorJR Talk 19:11, 11 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Android Love edit

An editor has nominated Android Love, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Android Love and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Robot Wars edit

Listen, I've tried asking nicely. I asked nicely for you not to write "Competed in/with" because it sounds silly. I asked nicely not to seperate robots from the same team because it is pointless. I asked nicely to check how a robot did and what it got up to without making assumptions because...well, this is an encyclopedia. Yet your additions of Reactor and Rhino blatantly went against all THREE of those requests (obviously the second one, because they were seperate). What do I actually have to say? I'm trying not to be rude here.

Robot Wars - Robots grouped together. edit

As I believe I have stated before, I don't think it neccessary for robots created by the same team to be seperated. My personal opinion is that, if two robots share the same team, they should be in the same article (Mace and Gemini go together, as do Pussycat and Bodyhammer). I can't be fairer than that, so why I'm finding myself reading articles where Prometheus is seperate from General Carnage (even though they were created by the same team) and Talos and T2 together (when they are completely unrelated) is beyond me. Why else do you think I constantly deleted your "Cunning Plan" series article? Just a reminder in future. 80.43.132.147 08:53, 17 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Roaming Robots edit

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Roaming Robots, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.

Fair use rationale for Image:Hypno-Disc Robot.gif edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Hypno-Disc Robot.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Robot Wars Wiki edit

Hi there, Robot Wars fan! I thought you might like to know that I have recently started a new Robot Wars Wiki on Wikia.com which can be found here. The Wiki is in its very early stages at the moment and it would be great if you could help to make it a success. The reason I have started it is because there is a limit to the amount of articles that can be made about Robot Wars on Wikipedia and you may know that most of the articles about individual robots have been removed from the site due to notability issues. I am therefore inviting all fans of the show to use the Robot Wars Wiki as a new home for all Robot Wars articles that can or cannot make it onto Wikipedia and together we can make the biggest database of Robot Wars content on the worldwide web. It would be great if you could help out and also tell other Robot Wars fans you may know about the site. Thank you! Christophee (talk) 01:20, 5 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Izzy: in the article on Medieval Adventure you've got a link to Howden School, but this leads to a disambiguation page - you need to choose one of the various schools listed there. Speedy deletion of Cabri Plus edit

A tag has been placed on Cabri Plus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Speedy deletion of Cabri Plus II edit

A tag has been placed on Cabri Plus II requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Speedy deletion of "Realtek Audio" edit

A page you created, Realtek Audio, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a real person, group of people, band, club, company, organisation, or web content, but does not indicate why its subject is important or significant.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Proposed deletion of Cabri Plus edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Cabri Plus, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. File source problem with File:Typhoon 2 Robot.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Typhoon 2 Robot.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 00:22, 22 February 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 00:22, 22 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Robot Fighting League edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Robot Fighting League requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read!
