File:Philippine local government.png

Error: barangays is repeated for the independent cities of an autonomous region. --seav (talk) 16:45, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

I noticed that too on the file I have (probably a week ago) and I'll fix it by the weekend. –Howard the Duck 16:48, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
P.S.: If you noticed the legend for the arrows is also screwed up; I'll suggest hiding it for the meantime. –Howard the Duck 16:50, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

File:Philippine local government.png

This image that you made has a dashed line coming from the president... The legend on the image says that this indicates "direct relation", but the caption on the article says the president exercises only "general supervision". Is this a mistake on the image, and if so, could you fix it? Thanks. Also, a source for this chart would be good, if possible. TheCoffee (talk) 03:09, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Also, the right side of the chart has a line from "barangays" to more "barangays". TheCoffee (talk) 03:11, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
And I just realized Seav informed you about this right above, so nevermind. :) TheCoffee (talk) 03:12, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
I'll be fixing this when I get home later. –Howard the Duck 06:02, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

It should be OK now. –Howard the Duck 14:36, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Re: Template:Basketballbox

Good idea. But looking at the example at User talk:Howard the Duck/Template3, I don't like how 3OT is all the way to the right next to venue name. Ideally, it should be in the center between score and venue.—Chris! ct 05:56, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

I can't quite picture it. I've been "imagining ideas" on where to put it. Is it like this:
Date Report Boston 100, Chicago 101 OT     Venue ABC

Howard the Duck 06:02, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Look better now.—Chris! ct 06:27, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Instead of another row, I just added a nonbreaking space ( ) instead. It gives the same effect. Can I change the template now? It looks okay on IE and on other resolutions. –Howard the Duck 06:31, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Invitation

Hello, I noticed you've made edits to University of the Philippines (UP) and UP–related articles and thought you might want to support our recent proposal to create the WikiProject University of the Philippines. We've recently revamped the proposal and started a drive to push the approval of this project. We have a lot of articles that may be under this project and we would like assistance and support for its approval. Hope we'll have a very positive response. Go Fighting Maroons!

P.S. You can look at the preliminary drafts of the project in here. Thanks! --The Wandering TravelerWIKIPROJECT UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT! 06:27, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

FLC 3b review

Hello, I noticed that a recent FLC that you nominated failed because of the criterion 3b. I have started a review of the criterion here, and any comments or opinions that you have about it would be more than welcome. Thanks, Scorpion0422 23:20, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

Fie!

Your listing the "Red Wings win..." prospective headline above the "Penguins win..." entry at WP:ITN/C unquestionably jinxed Detroit, for whose loss you are, it seems, to blame. Now, the Pens are my favorite Eastern Conference team, and I have a proper hatred for Hockeytown, such that I'd usually be thrilled with the result, but the Pittsburgh win cost me three of my NHL playoff pools, including one in which a significant sum was at issue. How do you propose to remedy this? I think we could settle for two barnstars (where "barnstar" = "thousand dollars")... 69.212.20.241 (talk) 04:06, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

In my defense I posted both outcomes. Heh. –Howard the Duck 05:05, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh wait, on Game 6, there was only one possible outcome (Red Wings winning) so that was probably it. That is SOP in ITN/C anyway so... –Howard the Duck 05:06, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, I meant that in listing the two potential results, you posted the Red Wings item higher, unnecessarily tempting fate. But, of course, why you are to be blamed is not as important as that you are blamed. You have been freed of your pecuniary obligations, though, by a countrymate of yours: I received today an e-mail from a gentleman who was formerly in government in the Philippines and who has millions of dollars waiting to be removed from the country, one-half of which he will share with me after I pay a small fee to assist him. I've given over my bank information and expect to be rolling in the dough directly. Joe 18:04, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
Can I have at least a share? LOL.
Now if someone can tell me how to jinx the Lakers... –Howard the Duck 18:08, 13 June 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Hapee Toothpaste

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Hapee Toothpaste, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

This article makes no assertion of why this product is notable.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Matt (talk) 22:59, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

My bad, looks like you didn't have a whole lot to do with this other than the page move where Twinkle identified you as the original author. Sorry for the inconvenience. Matt (talk) 23:05, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Bold Text

Please do not take out the bold text in articles like All My Life (TV series) and Adik Sa'Yo. The bold text is very important. What if a reader read this page and could not see? The bold text makes it easier to understand the words. Do not revert my edits on the said article. Thank You GMA Fan 6:44PM 23 July 2009 (UTC)

LOL. I'll this to a third party, which WILL rule in my favor. –Howard the Duck 08:54, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Please stop taking away the bold text. The bold text is very important. I'm one of those people who can't see very well so I have to boldface the text so i can read it. Other people can't read light text. Please stop taking away the bold text in articles. Thank You for your cooperation. GMA Fan 3:54PM 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Please be aware of the three revert rule in your edits on Adik Sa'Yo. This appears to be a content dispute and all parties are subject to block if reverting without discussion continues. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 00:21, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

OK, i give up. I won't bold text anymore. Is that all right with you? Please send me a reply. Thank You. GMA Fan 11:07PM 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Good. It is senseless to boldface them without lengthy summaries anyway. –Howard the Duck 13:39, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
  • I Promise i will not bold text in articles like Zorro (Philippine TV series). If someone bold text in that article, let me know. Are we friends now? Please send me a reply.

Thank You for your cooperation. GMA Fan

Proposed deletion of List of Philippine television ratings for 2008

The article List of Philippine television ratings for 2008 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This features a list of ratings of Philippine TV shows for a particular year. Do we need an article for a list of television ratings established by different TV programs?

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JL 09 q?c 15:47, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

WP:NOTDIRECTORY

If you don't like WP:NOTDIRECTORY, then get consensus to have it changed. In the meantime, the schedules must go. WP:NOTDIRECTORY is explicit on this point. "an article on a ... station should not list ... current schedules". I'm very sorry you do not like our policy. Also, please note that debate surrounding a policy does not mean the policy is suspended until there is consensus. Consensus already existed to have the policy put in place. Consensus can change, but until it does change, the policy remains in place. Lack of consensus to change it does not mean consensus has changed to vacate the policy. --Hammersoft (talk) 12:58, 9 September 2009 (UTC)

But the application of the policy is disputed. The policy is not disputed, but the manner of application is. Until this is resolved (such as removal of the disputed template, I'd continue to revert that. –Howard the Duck 13:03, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
  • So you are saying that you will revert war to have your way then? --Hammersoft (talk) 13:06, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
No, I'm saying resolve the issue first there, to make sure the disputed template is removed. A policy/guideline with a disputed template doesn't have that much traction. –Howard the Duck 13:09, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
  • A policy/guideline with a disputed template has 100% traction until there is consensus to void it. You're quite wrong. The policy is quite explicit. There's no consensus to void it. Schedules go. If you insist on revert warring to include it, you'll find yourself blocked, I'm sure. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:16, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
  • On the contrary, this was also the situation with the TV episode debate a few months back, with either party quoting a policy page that is disputed which wasn't followed by everyone. Considering you are one of the people discussing the issue, I'd perhaps look for a third party to find out if there is really "a consensus" on the issue. Your insistence on this matter is related to your position in the issue; the issue has to be resolved first there. If the issue is resolved, and the disputed template is removed, then there's no more reason for me to revert. –Howard the Duck 13:24, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
I will make an enquiry on a matter on that page, and I would like an uninvolved editor to answer me whether the policy is disputed or not. If it is still disputed, then it doesn't hold that much traction, and can be ignored. –Howard the Duck 13:25, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
