Kiss FM (Lagos) moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Kiss FM (Lagos), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. W4HRNG edit

Racking up tons of pointless edits that violate WP:OVERLINK in an attempt to win some sort of contest is a great way to be banned from editing. Please be more judicious with your editing in the future. Primefac (talk) 16:54, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please STOP editing and read this. All you're doing is making a colossal mess - it is neither useful or helpful to readers to overlink basic words. It makes articles unreadable. CUPIDICAE💕 17:01, 25 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for March 26 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lagos Lagoon, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Western. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:07, 26 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Mostly meaningless edit summaries edit

Greetings and thank you for your improvements to Wikipedia! I just examined your edits to Carl Jung and I noticed your edit summary for all four edits was "Minor edit." I looked through your User contributions and I noticed you frequently use edit summaries that explain little more than that you made an edit. Please be more specific about your edits so other editors understand what you are doing and why. Otherwise, an editor might revert your edits, thinking they are vandalism. Please see Help:Edit summary.—Anita5192 (talk) 21:33, 2 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

May 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Blue Riband. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Alexandra Green (basketball), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. You made changes to biographical data without explaination or sourcing. Blue Riband► 11:14, 26 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Hopilo12! Your additions to Karene Agono have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:14, 19 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Batouly Camara edit

The article Batouly Camara has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough in-depth coverage from independent, reliable sources to pass GNG, doesn't appear to meet any of the SNG's either.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
