The Negro in Mississippi moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, The Negro in Mississippi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DGG ( talk ) 08:53, 13 December 2021 (UTC)

So that's a violation of your editing restriction yesterday, and you have now twice created Richard A. Couto in the mainspace today. You seem to be begging for a block by now. Fram (talk) 14:41, 14 December 2021 (UTC)

Clearfrienda, as stated and sourced at the time of your declination, this subject is without a doubt notable as a state legislator, per WP:NPOL. At AfC, we see a lot of politician articles that pass NPOL, so it is one of the most important criteria for a reviewer to understand. Okay, everything is added in. I actually went and found all four of the separate issues of the Indianapolis Freeman to cite as separate references, rather than just that book. An extant D. W. Griffith film from 1912 with notable participants amd interesting themes? I think you should reconsider User:Rusalkii. I can't image that any extant Griffith film isn't notable and I believe the notability pages for creators make that clear. There's also the film company Biograph, and I think notability policies favor inclusion of films from major studios. How is Wikipedia better off excluding content on this historic film? Bewildering. And no editor would take it to AfD because they would be drawn and quartered. Which is also supposed to be a consideration for AfC submissions. FloridaArmy (talk) 21:53, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
I have no idea who D. W. Griffith is. The film may very well be notable but nothing I saw on that page demonstrated it. If you can add sources and resubmit it will probably be accepted, or if you think that the film is notable on some other grounds add a comment up top explaining that; I do not intend to re-review this. Rusalkii (talk) 22:01, 25 December 2021 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Ernest Touissant Welcome

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Ernest Touissant Welcome, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Q28 (talk) 03:20, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

DYK for Lou Swarz

On 1 January 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Lou Swarz, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Lou Swarz became famous for her "One Woman Show" involving monologue performances as various characters, including Phillis Wheatley and Sojourner Truth? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Lou Swarz. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Lou Swarz), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
