The Grafter and the Maid should link here
The Grafter and the Maid or The Grafter and the Girl is an American film[1] directed by William Foster ca. 1914. Jerry Mills and Lottie Grady starred in it. Mills also wrote the screenplay. The Pekin Theatre veterans had performed together in The Merry Widower as part of Pekin's stock company and in William Foster's The Railroad Porter.[2]
It is about a black butler working for a white family. Foster travelled in support of his films including this one.[1]
Foster followed the film with a successful release of The Fall Guy.[3]
