Flyweight Edit edit

Hi Entropy. Thank you for your feedback. This was my first wikipedia edit so I'm a noob. Apologies for the lack of edit comments. I have since tried to re-apply the edit with comments but it doesn't seem to apply to the page? A full explanation of my edit can be found here: http://mylesmcdonnell.wordpress.com/2012/12/02/flyweight-concurrency/ How should I proceed? Thanks. Mylesmcdonnell (talkcontribs) 10:43, 3 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

No worries at all, I'm glad you're interested in contributing to Wikipedia! I had noticed you removed a section so I undid your edit, but I see looking at the history that I also accidentally undid your other edits as well. I have reverted Flyweight pattern to your revision before removal of the section. Thanks for your message! —Entropy (T/C) 21:57, 3 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for December 5 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Renaissance College, Hong Kong, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Grand Theft Auto (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Re: Reversion of edit to Renaissance College, Hong Kong edit

Hi Entropy. I removed the edit, as the statement lacks verifiability. A person must physically go to the school to verify whether they have video games on the computers and I doubt that there are any published sources that can be used as reference for that statement. I also have reasonably doubt on the factuality of the statement, as the anon account that placed that edit is known vandalise Renaissance College, Hong Kong. If you have anymore questions regarding by editing behaviour, please don't hesitate to contact me. Thanks :) --Wylve (talk) 02:01, 6 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense and I didn't know about that account's history with that page. Reversion was a good call! —Entropy (T/C) 23:32, 6 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

ACC edit

This message is to indicate my interest in registering an account on the ACC account creation interface in order to help out with account creation requests. —Entropy (T/C) 23:05, 7 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Entrophy please see this comment regarding your appeal, Thank you. Mlpearc (powwow) 04:57, 13 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Entropy, thank you for interest in the account creation process. I have verified your Identification [1] and your request has been approved, welcome to the team. You may now access the interface here.

Before you do so, please read the account creation guide and our username policy thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the process. You should also join us on IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect on where a bot informs us when new account requests come in and to get any advice on requests as well as the mailing list. Please note that we have implemented a policy of zero tolerance on mishandled requests, and that failure to assess correctly will result in suspension. I would like to emphasize that it is not a race to complete a request, and each one should be handled diligently and thoroughly. Currently you are allowed to create up to six accounts per day, although you won't be able to create an account with a similar name to that of another user; these requests are marked "Account Creator Needed" by the bot and "Flagged user needed" on the interface. However, if you reach the limit frequently, you can request the account creator permission at WP:PERM/ACC. Please keep in mind that the ACC tool is a powerful program, and misuse will result in your access being suspended by a tool administrator. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. Thank you for participating in the account creation process. Again welcome!

Mlpearc, thank you for your help. I'll make sure to re-read the policy pages and use diligence when creating new accounts. I've run into one snag; when I attempt to log into the ACC interface, I'm unable to; I get a message saying my user account is not identified. Perhaps a setting is missing somewhere? —Entropy (T/C) 09:22, 15 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Entropy, I am aware of this problem and I'll get it resolved and let you know here when it's fixed. Mlpearc (powwow) 19:06, 15 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
 Done - You're good to go. Mlpearc (powwow) 23:14, 15 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Take It All message edit

Hello, according to my history you left a message on my talk page and then reverted it to the current page. You also reverted an edit I made and then undid the revert. Since I am a bit confused, was there something that seemed or was wrong with my edit to the Take It All article? 204.106.251.214 (talk) 03:53, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hey there, sorry about that. Your edit is totally fine. I had mistaken your contribution with another; when I realized my mistake I undid my change and removed my message from your talk page. Have a nice day! —Entropy (T/C) 03:55, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Ah, it is ok. I was just slightly confused about the edits and was wondering if something was wrong. Thank you for the explaination and the quick reply. In addition, I hope that you have a nice day as well.  :) 204.106.251.214 (talk) 04:01, 12 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Adoption edit

I've set up your adoption page and left some instructions there. Please watchlist that page as all communication (other than reminders) will be there. Thanks! gwickwiretalkedits 02:58, 17 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Van Impe edit

It took it as vandalism as they didn't explain why they blanked it.

Sorry I didn't put my edit in the form of a question...but then that's why you're the 'expert' and us noobs aren't...David Unit (talk) 23:38, 17 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

My apologies, I hadn't seen the previous revision. I've restored the page to your version. Also, I'm definitely not an expert! Sorry for the mistake. —Entropy (T/C) 23:49, 17 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hola, I'm on vacation in Mexico at the moment but I have some free time in the evenings. I've taken a look at the latest lesson and signed it. Thanks! —Entropy (talk) 00:59, 30 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
That's fine, I've had no time either, so I've just now put up your next test. I am sorry for not doing it sooner. Don't kill me. Please. I beg of you. -runs away- gwickwiretalkedits 22:53, 5 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Re: Pro gaming taskforce edit

Well, I still actively edit esports articles, so let's do this! :) DarthBotto talkcont 05:13, 23 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Awesome! I'm glad to hear you're interested in helping out. I've just moved the page to WP:VG/eSports and started the revival. —Entropy (talk) 07:13, 23 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

Canadian Contribution Month edit

Good day, please send an e-mail to the Wikimedia Canada mailing list (wmca-public(at)googlegroups.com) or to me through the mediawiki e-mail system so I can put you in contact with the others. There are two others Wikipedians in Edmonton that are also interested in organizing something. Unfortunatly, I'm 3 hours drive from Edmonton and won't be able to make it I intended. Thanks, Amqui (talk) 16:13, 8 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
