File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Untitled97.jpg edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Untitled97.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 18:42, 28 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of MGM Guitar Corporation edit

A tag has been placed on MGM Guitar Corporation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to an article talk page, file description page, file talk page, MediaWiki page, MediaWiki talk page, category talk page, portal talk page, template talk page, help talk, user page, user talk or special page from the main/article space.

If you can fix the redirect to point to a mainspace page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you are fixing the redirect. If you think the redirect should be retained as is for some reason, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this:   which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. November 2011 edit

This is your only warning; if you create an inappropriate page again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. You have created too many hoaxes: one more and you might be blocked, perhaps even indefinitely. Likewise, it is clear that there are problems with the images you have uploaded, and that you have not heeded earlier warnings. Hoaxes and copyright violations are taken seriously here, and subsequent disruptive editing (which may also include vandalism) may be met with a block. Please don't let it get that far. Drmies (talk) 03:41, 24 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

  • One more thing: please don't act in collusion with Wiki23456 (talk · contribs). If it so happens that one of you gets blocked and the other continues, the accusation of sock puppetry is easily made, esp. considering the origin of MGM Guitar Corporation. I don't know which one of you is Michael Mercer and which one is Alex Nistico (see User:Wiki23456/MGM ESG-69, or if both of you are one of them, or vice versa--sock puppetry and meat puppetry are not allowed here. We're trying to build an encyclopedia, not play around with daydreams about guitar factories, as nice as that may be. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 03:45, 24 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
  • And one more thing: there is no Gibson EB-SG-3, and I've moved Gibson EB-3 back where it belongs. Again, you've been warned before about page moves: let this also serve as a final warning. Drmies (talk) 03:48, 24 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. JOJ Hutton 02:08, 29 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

January 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Banchō Sarayashiki, without good reason. They need to have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Disambiguation link notification edit

Hi. When you recently edited Reportedly haunted locations in the United Kingdom, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Humphries (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Proposed deletion of Reportedly haunted locations in Singapore edit

The article Reportedly haunted locations in Singapore has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

original research "sourced" to a section of a Wikipedia article that just lists this page. So, absolutely unsourced.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Atlantis (band) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Atlantis (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. NTox · talk 02:50, 25 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

April 2012 edit

About Krist Novoselic edit

Hi El Monterrey. OK, so he reverted back from "Chris" to his birth name "Krist". But c plus diacritic (ie: "ć") was not his birth name. I think you you should reconsider the WP:MOVE from "Novoselic" to "Novoselić". --Shirt58 (talk) 15:40, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

I've reverted your edit. What little is on the talk page for the article does not support the move. Before moving it again you should discuss it on the talk page and work toward a consensus agreement. Thanks. SQGibbon (talk) 01:43, 2 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

May 2012 edit

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Skai Jackson. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Geraldo Perez (talk) 03:03, 6 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Washington, D.C.. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. JohnInDC (talk) 17:55, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

July 2012 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Smosh does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! 117Avenue (talk) 04:45, 26 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy Deletion of Manzaristan edit

Your contributed article, Manzaristan edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Manzaristan. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - United States. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at United States - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Us441 (talk to me) (My piece) 21:08, 25 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing inappropriate pages, such as Markoria (sovereign state), is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. September 2012 edit

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop adding information about your fictional countries to Wikipedia. Speedy deletion nomination of Markoria edit

Hello El Monterrey,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Markoria for deletion, because it seems to be vandalism or a hoax.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Mdy66 (talk) 15:54, 16 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

November 2012 edit

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Markoria, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This is your final warning not to create links or articles about your country. If you add other links or edits you will be blocked. -- Michael Scott Cuthbert (talk) 21:14, 17 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:JessicaLongnoprostheses.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:JessicaLongnoprostheses.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 19:23, 2 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Approaching Nirvana edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Approaching Nirvana requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Evaders99 (talk) 05:36, 28 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
