CopyVio (speedy)

Hi Dravecky,

First, my apologies, I thought a speedy request for copyvio required substantial copyvio, as opposed to total copyvio. On that note:

AARC Summary...

First paragraph... copyvio sans the tail of the second sentence being reworded. (from AARC Summary para 2 and 3)

Second paragraph... (one sentence, not copyvio)

Third paragraph... Total copyvio (from AARC Summary para 4)

Fourth paragraph... Total copyvio (from AARC Summary para 5)

I thought that met the substantial requirement. Especially for an article on an agency known for litigious activities and with a clear copyright disclaimer on their page (including the standard "in whole or in part" section).

No worries. The "substantial" standard is a bit subjective and another editor might have deleted it. I believe that rolling this particular article back to before the copyright violations were introduced rather than outright deletion was the way to go in this case. It removes the violation but leaves an otherwise notable topic intact and available for interested editors to improve. If this had been a newly-created article with that same level of copyvio and no "clean" version to revert to, I would have had little choice but to delete it. - Dravecky (talk) 16:59, 4 August 2014 (UTC)

I think this started in near the original, but I will dig back deeper. And I can't find the original document. Anyway, I wanted to just blank the two big copyvio paragraphs and see what I could do with the rest, but the subst:copyvio tag seems to blank everything from that point on. Suggestions? Should I/we revert the subst:copyvio tag for now? I might be able to get back to making this page not a copyvio by week's end. Not the quickest content creator...

That's the other issue - the document (other than the cite I added to the last paragraph I reworded) only cites them - and uses a dead link. It's all single POV, and I cannot find too much else on them, except what they say about themselves. :-/
