Your message

I don't think I've ever edited the article on York, but I did delete The Guard after it was tagged for deletion under the criteria for speedy deletion as an article about a band which did not assert notability. Articles about unsigned bands are seldom retained as they rarely meet the guidelines for articles about musicians and ensembles. Two things in the article could possibly have been described as an assertion of notability if one was being generous - winning a local battle of the bands and once supporting a notable act, but neither comes remotely close to implying that the article meets WP:MUSIC. If a band is not sufficiently notable to have an article, it is unsuprising that mention of them in an article about the city they come from was removed. Oldelpaso 09:01, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
