September 2015 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page East Bengal F.C. has been reverted.
Your edit here to East Bengal F.C. was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.facebook.com/KingfisherEastBengalFC) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Wrong information getting added on pages edit

1. Mohun Bagan A.C. Page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohun_Bagan_A.C.

It is about the National Club status. I have been removing this line but some other contributor is adding the line about National Club. Mohun Bagan Club is not national club of India. It never was And I personally have filed RTI and have got answer from Honorable Sports Ministry of India that Mohun Bagan Club was never national Club of India. However some contributor keep on adding the line.. "Mohun Bagan is National Club of India" If needed I can produce the RTI reply I received from honourable sports ministry of India

2. Date and result of First Derby played by the Kolkata Club... Mohun Bagan A.C. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohun_Bagan_A.C. Kolkata Derby https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kolkata_Derby

In both the pages the information on first kolkata derby is getting changed. East Bengal got promoted in the first division league in 1925 only after that the first official match can take place however few contributor are changing the date to 1921. Even if there was a match played between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan that cannot be considered as official since East Bengal was not in First Division at that time... For reference I am providing the link of 1. goal.com Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).

The correct information is first Derby took place on 28th May, 1925 which East Bengal won by 1-0 . Nepal Chakraborty was the scorer .

I had been repeatedly fixing these 2 information but someone is continuously changing it. Kindly look into the matter....Kindly prevent this edits.

Incorrect Information edit

Again the line "National Club" was added which is totally illegal according to Indian constitution and also wrong date and result of First Derby was added The correct information can be found on i-league.org website. Which is the official Indian football website. http://i-league.org/interviews-and-features/kolkata-derby-origins-and-history/

Incorrect Information added repeatedly edit

The First Derby took place on 28th May, 1925 at the CFC ground (Mohun Bagan Ground) where East Bengal defeated Mohun Bagan 1-0 in the Calcutta Football League. The winning goal was scored by Nepal Chakravarty And the current head to head statistics is : East Bengal have edged the head-to-head 120-88, with 108 matches ending in draws. [1] [2]

May 2017 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Rony Dasgupta. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Wikipedia is not for writing about yourself edit

Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

Wikipedia user pages are not like those at social-networking sites. Their use is explained at WP:NOTWEBHOST:

"Wikipedians have their own user pages, but they should be used primarily to present information relevant to working on the encyclopedia. Limited biographical information is allowed, but user pages should not function as personal webpages or be repositories for large amounts of material that is irrelevant to collaborating on Wikipedia. If you are looking to make a personal webpage or blog or to post your résumé, please make use of one of the many free providers on the Internet or any hosting included with your Internet account."

You can find out more about Wikipedia at the WP:Welcome page and the WP:Introduction. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 07:37, 31 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

June 2017 edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 12 hours for edit warring and violating the three-revert rule, as you did at Kolkata Derby. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Nthep (talk) 15:34, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

I am not interested in who is right or wrong in this dispute and I do accept that you have tried to discuss the issues on the article talk page but even with the low level of response, this is not justification for continuing to revert the changes. Take the time to read up on dispute resolution and how to seek alternatives because blindly reverting is not the way forward. Nthep (talk) 15:37, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Unblock Request edit

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I am trying to bring it to kind notice of Wikipedia authorities that Kolkata derby page is getting edited with wrong information. I have provided authentic links with the correct information. But so long I got absolutely no response from wiki authorities. Today an user tried to vandalize the wiki page of kolkata derby. He even corrupted the design I got the design back. I have also tried to raise the dispute issue several time but nor the other contributor nor wiki admin responded to me even once. So today I undid each and every edit made by the other contributor. And instead of blocking I should have been appreciated Dasgupta.rony (talk) 15:53, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You got involved in a content dispute. Rather than step back and try to resolve the dispute, you decided to violate WP:3RR. The block is appropriate. Next time, less reverting and more discussion, please. Yamla (talk) 16:02, 2 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I wanted to discuss I have tried my level best to discuss the issue..Kindly refer to the talk page of the article .. But no one answered me. I realised I did not perhave did the right thing but I was really being pushed to the corner. However I apologize and respect your decision of blocking me. Speedy deletion nomination of Shyamal Sengupta edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shyamal Sengupta requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.washingtonbanglaradio.com/content/72997211-interview-shyamal-sengupta-renowned-lyricist-bollywood-hindi-and-kolkata-bengali-mo. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 13:39, 3 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 18:17, 4 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
