Your contributed article, Khergarh edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Khergarh. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Khed, Rajasthan. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Khed – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. 220 of Borg 12:35, 11 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

April 2016 edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Dabhi dynasty, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "save page" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

Also again, as User:220 of Borg asked you here above, please use the edit summary. That would be polite towards other editors. Sam Sailor Talk! 10:59, 12 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Sam Sailor about previewing and, naturally, using edit summaries.
Please also consider adding a references section, categories, and a stub template when appropriate, as I did here to Vejalsinhji Dabhi. ALL Wikipedia pages are supposed to be sourced, but if you continue creating un-sourced pages, you can expect them to be deleted!
Also please don't add an inaccurate template such as {{refimprove|date=June 2015}}, as the Vejalsinhji Dabhi page was unsourced and the template date was also wrong.
Thirdly, a response of some sort would also be polite!
Fourthly, why have you recreated Khergarh, which is a copy of Khed, Rajasthan (Which is why it was previously deleted. [1]) You are not allowed to just copy other editors work and present it as if it is yours. See wp:copying within Wikipedia, for more information. 220 of Borg 14:00, 12 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

You disappeared? edit

On 11 April you moved Dabhi to Dabhi dynasty without giving a rationale. On 12 April I asked on Talk:Dabhi dynasty why the article had been moved, and posted a talkback here on your user talk page. You did not reply, but made a further edit to Vejalsinhji Dabhi. And have not edited since. I suppose you could have been editing logged out from 150.129.200.31 (talk · contribs · WHOIS)?

The edits made to Dabhi and Dabhi dynasty since 9 January till now basically turns a weakly sourced stub about a clan into something that makes unsourced claims about a Dawangara State. The relevant diff with 75 intermediate revisions can be seen here. Apart from removing material that supposedly was sourced from the single reference that was previously included, you add

I am faced with a number of challenges:

  • To begin with I can't find sources to verify this Dabhi dynasty that you claim existed for 700 years from the 5th to the 11th century.
  • In the infobox you specify the conventional_long_name parameter to be "डाभी राजवंश". If I Google that, I get two Facebook hits and the Dabhi dynasty articles.
  • Let's have a look at the new small stubs you have created, and that you link to from Dabhi dynasty:
    • Muldevsinhji Dabhi, supposedly "the most prominent king of the Dabhi dynasty, a dynasty which ruled Mahuba from 640 AD to 1143 AD". The stub is unsourced. I get zero hits when doing a Google search. I do not even get a "Did you mean so-and-so"-result. I only get the Wikipedia article you wrote. Let's try searching on the piped name you gave him, Muldevji: still no reliable sources found.
    • Similar with Vejalsinhji Dabhi, supposedly also "the most prominent king of the Dabhi dynasty, a dynasty which ruled Dangarwa after migrated from Bhildigarh". Zero useful hits. It doesn't matter that we try using your caption to your own photo File:1st King of Dangarwa .jpg "Vejal Sinhji Dabhi", still no luck finding sources.
    • Khergarh, should supposedly be synonymous with Khed, Rajasthan from where you copied the text and added your own upload File:Khedgarh.jpg. There appears to be a Khergarh village in Jasrana tehsil of Firozabad district in Uttar Pradesh. I don't know what one village in Uttar Pradesh has to do with another supposed village in Rajasthan. Search for sources gives me no clue to a connection.
    • Then there is Mahuba. On the one hand you claim that it is "is a village in Balotra of Barmer district of Rajasthan", and that "it is one of the oldest seats of power in western part of Rajasthan. During the seventh century it was the capital of Muldevji of the Dabhi dynasty". Well, if that was the truth, then it is pretty strange that we don't get at least a census result when we Google Mahuba Balotra. Let alone something about it being "one of the oldest seats of power in western part of "Rajasthan".
  • Turning to your image uploads:

We often get articles that can be hard to source. Sometimes their subjects are just not notable. The chance that your contributions are anything but a poorly constructed attempt to create an elaborate hoax is slim to infinitesimal. Naturally I invite you to verify your contributions and disprove me.

Actions taken by me will include reverting in Dabhi dynasty and asking it be moved back to it's old title Dabhi, proposing Mahuba, Muldevsinhji Dabhi, and Vejalsinhji Dabhi be deleted as unverifiable, probable hoaxes, sending Khergarh to WP:RFD, and, should I not hear from you, nominate your uploads on Commons for deletion.

Pinging 220 of Borg and Xx236 who both have been involved here. Further pinging Graeme Bartlett who have redirected Khergarh to Khed, Rajasthan and added a pic to Khed, Rajasthan.

Sam Sailor Talk! 00:57, 19 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

My actions in relation to Khergarh and Khed, Rajasthan was in response to a speedy deletion nomination with a rationale of a duplicate topic. I merged some content from one to the other and redirected, as there was unique content not in the other. I left out "New transport nagar 4th phashe balotra Barmer Rajsathan" as it did not make enough sense to me. I saw no references to verify anything, so I won't vote on Khergarh as a valid redirect in a RFD, except to say if it is deleted, then content from Khed, Rajasthan should be demerged to satisfy attribution requirements. Graeme Bartlett (talk) 03:30, 19 April 2016 (UTC)Reply
I agree with your actions here Sam Sailor. If the creator can't WP:Verify, and can't be bothered to reply to messages, particularly in regard to copy/pasting content, I don't think we should waste any more time on this issue.220 of Borg 15:10, 19 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Muldevsinhji Dabhi edit

The article Muldevsinhji Dabhi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unverifiable and very likely part of an elaborate hoax by Dangarwa, cf. User talk:Dangarwa#You disappeared?

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Mahuba edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mahuba requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.nativeplanet.com/barmer/attractions/meva-nagar/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion".
