Pseudopachylaelaps

edit

Hi Casper king. I don't know why your first-ever edit was to that article but you made two major errors, so I have reverted the change. First you confused Pseudopachylaelaps, a genus of mites including Pseudopachylaelaps ornatus, with Panulirus ornatus, a species of lobster. Then you compounded the problem by citing Wikipedia as a reference, which is not allowed as explained here. Please restrict your editing to topics about which you have competence and knowledge. Mike Turnbull (talk) 18:03, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Some of your other contributions are also problematic. For example in this edit you "corrected" the spelling of "labour" to "labor" and "neighbours" to "neighbors". However, both of these were already correct: this is the British English spelling appropriate for an article about a British football team. See WP:ENGVAR for the policy on this. Please put the spelling back to what it was. I haven't got the time to go through all your other edits to check correctness but I would point out that in Goddard, Kansas you have added a web link to the bottom of the article that needs to be a proper {{cite web}} reference correctly positioned inline to the text for which it is the source. Mike Turnbull (talk) 18:25, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Converted to valid ref at Goddard, Kansas. David notMD (talk) 19:17, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Sorry for the British English thing I did not know how to check that at the time I simply thought it was spelled wrong I will refrain from doing it in the future also sorry about the Pseudopachylaelaps situation I also do not know why that was the first article I ever edited. Thabks for bringing thesethings to my knoledge I will pay more attention to what I am doing. Casper king (talk) 22:25, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Blaze Wolf. An edit you recently made to 1976 in Iceland seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 17:11, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hello. Your recent edit to List of perennial candidates in the United States appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 17:38, 12 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Arjayay thank you do you believe that Hirsh Singh is notable enough for his own article? He has never won any position but many people on the List of perennial candidates in the United States have also never won position. Casper king (talk) 01:06, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Casper king - I am also confused as to how many people on that list have articles. WP:POLITICIAN states
"Just being an elected local official, or an unelected candidate for political office, does not guarantee notability, although such people can still be notable if they meet the general notability guideline."
As most of them are "an unelected candidate for political office" I assume they meet the general notability guideline - you could ask at Talk:List of perennial candidates in the United States - that page has 885 page watchers, 122 of whom "visited recent edits", so it is far more watched than most articles - best wishes - Arjayay (talk) 10:04, 13 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Four-day workweek, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. the section you added, "Opposition", uses unreliable sources. Can you tell me how did you consider humansfirst and hqhire as reliable? FuzzyMagma (talk) 16:43, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello @FuzzyMagma would you please explain why humansfirst and hqhire are not reliable sources. Casper king (talk) 23:58, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
it does not work like this, it is not a circular argument, the burden is on you. if you failed to provide that, your edit will be removed. FuzzyMagma (talk) 07:48, 7 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello @FuzzyMagma after further research I no longer believe that humansfirst is a reliable source and I will remove the section that is sourced by it. However, I still believe that hqhire is a reliable source and I will not be removing the information. However, I is insider also considered a poor source or was it inadvertently removed? As it says source needed in the article, but it was not listed in your initial message. Casper king (talk) 13:32, 7 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
As for the insider ref.; you need to check who removed it as I certainly did not.
going back to the WP:RS issue, when you state that a source is reliable or not, you need to include why? include me in that conversation. This is a discussion and a learning opportunity for both of us. FuzzyMagma (talk) 14:13, 7 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
you did it again in this edit. I see you did not use weasel words but you still need to pay attention to sources FuzzyMagma (talk) 15:58, 7 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
