Your GA nomination of Milam Residence
The article Milam Residence you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Milam Residence for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Rublov -- Rublov (talk) 11:41, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
DYK cooperation?
I am planning to create a friendly DYK on the Ottmar Hitzfeld Stadium in Gspon, the highest football pitch in Europe. It has several possibilities which could be featured in a DYK. European Championship of Football, only accessible per cable transport, hiking, artificial grass because too high for natural grass, only 5 people living in Gspon, Ottmar Hitzfeld inaugurated it...its a nice one. A new article on the European Championship of Mountain Villages could also be created for the DYK.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 21:05, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- It is already 5x expanded, (it counted only 43 words before I began to expand it) but it is still below 1500 characters.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 21:32, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Paradise Chronicle: Thanks I will check it out. Bruxton (talk) 22:11, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
- The clubs Facebook page gives most of the info. Its so small that it doesn't have its own homepage it seems. Now we need to find some RS to source as much of it as possible. The club raised quite some media attention, though. The FIFA president attended a match and flew in by helicopter. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 05:39, 5 May 2022 (UTC)
- I guess we have expanded the article enough and could think of a hook.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 21:24, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Paradise Chronicle: Yes that should be the east part. Bruxton (talk) 22:50, 9 May 2022 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
Hi Bruxton, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the autopatrolled right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. However, you should consider adding relevant wikiproject talk-page templates, stub-tags and categories to new articles that you create if you aren't already in the habit of doing so, since your articles will no longer be systematically checked by other editors (User:Evad37/rater and User:SD0001/StubSorter.js are useful scripts which can help). Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Schwede66 00:34, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Schwede66: Thanks much for the talk page messages. I appreciate them! Bruxton (talk) 03:28, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Expansion (sculpture).png
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on File:Expansion (sculpture).png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from source https://paigebradley.com/sculpture/metamorphosis/expansion-third/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Vexations (talk) 16:46, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- @Vexations: I see I missed the copy notice and accompanying terms and conditions. I did not see any copy notice on the photo, but now I see the website itself has a notice at the bottom. When I click on terms and conditions it says the artist can give permission to use her photos, I am emailing the artist now. Ps. I wish you had contacted me without the frightening template and message about being blocked etc. It is a shock. I have removed the G12 and replaced it with a G7. I will be more thorough in my copyright searches. Bruxton (talk) 17:38, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- I'm sorry to have upset you. That was not my intention. I am aware that the templated notifications come across as impersonal. Please assume to that unless licensed differently, all creative works are copyrighted, even if there is no notice. You may be able to get permission to use the image from the creator, but note that even artists themselves often have a limited understanding of copyright, which is unsurprising, given how complicated copyright law is. In general, you need to convince the the person who created the photo AND the maker of the sculpture to release it under a license that is compatible with Wikipedia. That means they give it away to re-use for any purpose, including commercial use. Not everybody wants that, once they understand what that means. Vexations (talk) 18:56, 29 April 2022 (UTC)
- Copyright is complicated enough that even Vexations does not get it right. In some countries, FOP (freedom of panorama) applies to permanently installed creative works. In New Zealand, for example, FOP applies to three-dimensional works. Schwede66 18:53, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
- I am not a (copyright) lawyer. This isn't a permanently installed work though. See https://www.legislation.govt.nz/act/public/1994/0143/latest/whole.html#DLM345921 perhaps? Vexations (talk) 18:51, 24 May 2022 (UTC)
