File:CBSSportsNHL.jpg edit

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:17, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:CBSSportsNHL.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:CBSSportsNHL.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:13, 14 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

List of Hockey Night in Canada commentating crews (1990s) moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, List of Hockey Night in Canada commentating crews (1990s), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:SundayAfternoonBaseballonABC.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:SundayAfternoonBaseballonABC.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

YouTube as citations edit

You recently inserted many 20+ minute YouTube videos as citations for the various Iron Bowl broadcast teams.[1] WP:YOUTUBE informs re copyright concerns which seems clear. Also, WP:UNSOURCED policy states, All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, and it is satisfied by providing an inline citation to a reliable source that directly supports[2] the contribution.[3] The broadcaster claims are not directly supported by a general link to the video of the full/partial game. It's also unclear why/if the content in rendundant, tabular form is appropriate. As such, the content has been removed.

Unrelated, MOS:REPEATLINK states that you generally link on only the first instance in repeating links, such as these lists of names. Also, list of annual items should be chronologically sorted with the earliest matches at top and newest matches at the bottom.

Lastly, I am aware of similar, but stand-alone articles such as List of Rose Bowl broadcasters and List of Super Bowl broadcasters. Perhaps that is a better option, if paired with appropriate citations. UW Dawgs (talk) 23:17, 6 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Eagles 24/7 (C) 14:24, 18 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Toonin' Saturdays edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Toonin' Saturdays requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, BornonJune8. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of Hockey Night in Canada commentating crews".

From Nurse to Worse (Saved by the Bell) edit

I have gone ahead and converted this to a redirect, based on this discussion at WT:TV. I would encourage you to take a look at MOS:TV, especially MOS:TVSPLIT which says "There should always be real world content to accompany any additional split that is not simply a duplication of the main page's content (e.g., reception specifically for that season, or that episode; production information for the season or the episode), or duplication of the season page's content (e.g., an episode article that contains 1 or 2 reviews, and used the overall production information about the season that isn't specific to any one episode)." In addition, WP:GNG always applies, and in this case it does not appear that the episode in question received enough coverage in reliable secondary sources, as opposed to blog-like sites (see WP:SELFPUBLISH) or primary sources such as Instagram, to qualify for a standalone article. (However, the Kathy Ireland portion of the previous article would potentially be appropriate to briefly add to Kathy Ireland.) Just so you know. --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:17, 19 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
