editHello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Pantaleon Alvarez, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 07:09, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Pantaleon Alvarez, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Tantomile (talk) 07:15, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary, as you did at Pantaleon Alvarez. Tantomile (talk) 07:20, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, I would just like to ask permission to remove "Issues" from the page "Pantaleon Alvarez". The wording of the entries under that section is quite libelous. And most of the stuff there are contentious as well. Let me know how to proceed. Thank you. ArtSeeArtDoo (talk) 07:30, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @ArtSeeArtDoo. Those issues are cited, so we can't just remove them, and they do seem notable enough to end up on that page. If you want, you could work on rewriting them in a more balanced fashion (This was requested in June 2019, as the article does show primarily negative information about that person.) If you want to, I'd also suggest possibly expanding the article with more information about the person so it's not just issues. Don't remove huge amounts of content at once without replacing it however, as that will get flagged as vandalism and will be reverted, and could eventually lead to a block from Wikipedia. If you continue working on that article, I'd recommend reviewing WP:NOTCENSORED and Wikipedia:NPOV first. Thanks! Tantomile (talk) 07:46, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
- got it, thank you. very helpful! ArtSeeArtDoo (talk) 08:07, 1 March 2023 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pantaleon Alvarez. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. JBW (talk) 11:14, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
Wikipedia's guideline on conflict of interest, and related matters
editHello, ArtSeeArtDoo. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. A Wikpedia article needs to be written from a neutral point of view, but a large proportion of your editing gives the impression of being designed to promote a political point of view, particularly, though not only, by removing information not supporting that point of view. editHello, I'm Greyjoy. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Gamaliel Cordoba, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Greyjoy talk 13:17, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
