G'day!Edit

Welcome!

Hello, Anthonymorris, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!

I see you've been here a little while, but you don't seem to have been officially welcomed yet. So, um, welcome! From some of your edits I'm guessing you're an Aussie. If so, you might like to check out the Australian noticeboard. --fuddlemark (fuddle me!) 12:14, 17 September 2005 (UTC)

Double redirectsEdit

Hi there. Thanks for moving Islamic Society of Sydney Boys' High to the preferred spelling Islamic Society of Sydney Boys High. Just wanted to let you know that you forgot or weren't aware of how to correct double redirects. Because ISSBH and Islamic Society of Sydney Boys' High School redirected to the spelling with the apostrophe, a user clicking on those spellings would find themselves at a redirect page, not redirected to the right page.

If you don't know how to correct double redirects, just click "what links here" on the left side of the main article. Check to make sure each link marked "redirect page" redirects directly to the preferred spelling and not to another redirect.

Not a big deal, I already corrected them, but I thought you might want to know for future reference. See you around! NickelShoe 00:00, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

Australian Mathematics CompetitionEdit

Hello Anthony Morris. Thanks for expanding the article. Did you know about it because I nominated it for the DYK section? Regards, Blnguyen | Have your say!!! 04:48, 6 April 2006 (UTC).

Anthony Morris, i hate you. --—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bizzaredude (talkcontribs) 23 September 2006.

Proposed deletion of Hume Barbour TrophyEdit

The article Hume Barbour Trophy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non Notable state secondary school debating trophy. No indication that it meets WP:GNG as has zero GNews hits and what G hits are mainly of WP mirrors Link to NSW Education department page is dead.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Codf1977 (talk) 13:33, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of Hume Barbour TrophyEdit

I have nominated Hume Barbour Trophy, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hume Barbour Trophy. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Codf1977 (talk) 14:37, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

The reason for going forward to AfD is that all of the ref's you added were from edu websites in NSW as such are not independent and as such do not confer any degree of notability. Codf1977 (talk) 14:53, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!Edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 12:58, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
