Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.
How do I create citations?
  1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
  2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
  3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
  4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
  6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
  7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References==
{{Reflist}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. (See this page for a complete list of WikiProjects.) If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Andrzej Brodziak. Thanks! Theroadislong (talk) 22:37, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Dear Theroadislong
You wrote: "Comment: so poorly written it is not easy to comprehend, is it a translation by any chance? Theroadislong (talk) 22:37, 30 January 2023 (UTC)"
You decided that my submission "Draft:Andrzej Brodziak" is not approved. I am asking kindly to help me.
In times of rapid development of A.I. the theory of the "functional unit of neural circuitry", that I was developing since years, became very important. Understanding this model is important for understanding what imagination, self-imagining, and ultimately consciousness is.
You write that my text "is not easy to comprehend". Accepted explanations of my theory are found in the cited papers. This is best explained at https://doi.org/10.3390/brainsci11080984 but it  was already presented in the literature 33 years ago (see https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JIom0Hb0o7C57TS2HurYqFytAne-vxA8/view )
The text of my submission is short. It would be a few minutes of work for you to make the necessary shortcuts and corrections. For example, the recently added list of papers published in major journals is redundant, but your colleague said that the theory had no international resonance, therefore I added it. .
In short, I am asking you to help me. This is justified if you believe in the importance of understanding how the brain works and in the sense  of developing A.I.
with cordial greetings
Andrzej Brodziak

Copying licensed material requires attribution

edit

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Draft:The functional unit of neural circuits you included material from a journal article that is available under a compatible Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. It's also required under the terms of the license. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa (talk) 21:06, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Headbomb was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia.
Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 14:41, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Dear Headbomb
You wrote "This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia". But, in the proposend entry, a consistent effort made over several decades is presented, with the results of these  endeavours being presented  in renowned journals and cited (also in renowned journals) by many independent scientists. At the same time, the results of these efforts (which can be easily accessed as they are generally available in open access journals) are extremely important right now in times of rapid dissemination of generative AI systems. They are important to understand where the development threshold of systems like GPT comes from and what it entails.
There are Wikipedia entries dedicated to individual books. I published several books and about 300 scientific papers. Therefore, I believe that the assessment that the described results are not sufficiently "notable" is unfair and perhaps incorrect. Sincerely Anneuroscientist (talk) 21:24, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Dear Rich Smith
I regret that you have made such a decision. It is not beneficial for the community, especially in times of rapid AI development. I am writing "community," but which community exactly... The proposed entry is an important addition to knowledge essential for computer scientists and anybody. It should be summarized in this way:
...........
The authors of the entry present the action of a functional unit of neuronal circuits, which should be distinguished both in the structure of the brain and artificial intelligence systems. Such a unit is responsible for recognizing objects that are denoted by a single word or a verbal phrase. Within such delineated neuronal circuits, the perception of an object, the memorization of the object's image pattern, and the retrieval of that pattern in the form of an imagination occur. These functional neuronal units are activated by the working memory system while searching for a solution.
The authors  recall their the essential achievements done over the decades, aimed at developing a theory of such functional units, also known as 'the equimerec - units'. Their structure is derived from the combination of two elementary natural systems known as 'the threshold logic unit' and 'the feedback control loop'. The entry presents the scheme and  a formal notation describing such systems. The authors emphasize the importance of the theory, describing the realization of the imagination of objects denoted by single words of natural language in times when artificial intelligence systems based on so called 'models of language' have been so greatly developed.
The authors note alse that since the essence of the functional units of neuronal circuits, they described, is based on so-called backpropagation connections - within these units, circulation of impulses occurs in closed circuits, which must cause the emergence of an electromagnetic field. This explains the well-known fact of the existence of the endogenous electromagnetic field of the human brain. The authors argue then, that a similar EM field probably arises in artificial intelligence systems. In light of the recently promoted Joe McFadden's "Conscious Electromagnetic Information Field Theory (cemi)", he possibility of self-awareness emerging in artificial intelligence systems should be considered
with due attention.
.............................
So, the entire community, which may soon wake up among conscious artificial intelligence systems, is not being informed about this. I appeal to you to change your decision and allow the entry about functional units of neural circuits to be added to Wikipedia. Anneuroscientist (talk) 11:08, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello Anneuroscientist! Your additions to Draft:The functional unit of neural circuits have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. Dear Diannaa  !
Thank you for your post. However - please help ! Please tell me which  fragments of the draft "The functional unit of neural circuits" yet violate copyrights?
Under   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft_talk:The_functional_unit_of_neural_circuits you can read that " Copyright problem removed
Copyright-problem.svg Prior content in this draft duplicated one or more previously published sources. The material was copied from: https://basiclearning.angelfire.com/equimerec-2.pdf. Copied or closely paraphrased material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license..."
Yes, I am a neuroscience scientist and have published many papers in this field, so sometimes I may quote myself. However, developing the draft "The functional unit of neural circuits" I try to write from a neutral point of view about an important fact - which is the need to take into account the theory of MacFadden and other researchers stating that in the presence of backward connections consciousness can appear in artificial intelligence systems. It is important that people realize it just now - in these days.
So I am asking kindly for your help. Anneuroscientist (talk) 17:01, 8 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
As far as I can tell there are no further copyright issues. — Diannaa (talk) 12:48, 9 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
