Hello, I'm Tayi Arajakate. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, National Democratic Alliance, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tayi Arajakate Talk 22:58, 9 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Image without license

Unspecified source/license for File:Man Mohan Adhikari.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Man Mohan Adhikari.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 17:46, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Man Mohan Adhikari.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Man Mohan Adhikari.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip (e.g. a Microsoft Word document or PDF file) that has no encyclopedic use.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Brobee.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Brobee.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

--Canley (talk) 15:03, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Liphoto.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Liphoto.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Canley (talk) 15:31, 29 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Editing issues

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia (sorry, I noticed no-one had welcomed you and there are only nag tags on your talk page)! I (and others) have noticed some issues with your contributions and wanted to let you know so you can contribute more constructively.

  • Many of your edits are replacing images in officeholder lists with what you see as better images. Most of these lists have gone through much discussion and collaboration over several years to reach consensus on the images, so can you at least check the discussion pages to check if such a discussion has taken place before replacing images wholesale as you have done on several pages? I reverted your edits to List of prime ministers of Australia because you replaced consistent profile head shots with uncropped photos containing several people. Several images you have uploaded are clearly not under a free licence or your own work as claimed.
  • Also regarding images, please be careful regarding image copyright, and carefully read the Image Use Policy. I deleted one image you uploaded (a publicity photo from Yo Gabba Gabba!) as a clear copyright violation, and tagged several others for deletion where you have cropped an image from Commons and applied a PD tag even though the original had a Creative Commons tag, or are nominated for deletion themselves.
  • I am baffled by your edits to the unopposed Australian Labor Party leadership election articles. In four cases you added the opponent as the unopposed winner's father, and for the 1928 one you listed Joseph Lyons as the opponent against James Scullin even though Lyons was not in the federal parliament at the time and was still a Tasmanian state MP. I want to assume good faith here, but please avoid making such edits if don't know enough about the topic, otherwise it will appear these edits are vandalism.

If you have any questions or need advice or clarification, feel free to contact me on my talk page. --Canley (talk) 02:31, 1 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Some more issues with your edits today... you moved Madhav Kumar Nepal saying 'His Name is Not "Nepal"' – if you actually read the article, you would see it is: "He is also one of the only Prime Ministers in the world whose name features the name of his country, i.e., Nepal.". Same with Bahadur Shah of Nepal – while Nepal is not part of his name, it is common to list the country for articles about royalty, such as Beatrix of the Netherlands. --Canley (talk) 03:05, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi AndersonL7333, the changes and images that I have placed in this article List of presidents of Venezuela are for the good of the article, it is irrelevant if in any of the images of the presidents they are smoking, unemployed or other mundane detail, that is invalid because they are the personal opinions of the users who edit this article, being supposes that in this encyclopedia articles are created or edited from a neutral and impartial point of view.--Oli (talk) 01:46, 6 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to List of prime ministers of Nepal. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Why did you add a 14-year-old as a prime minister? Ivar the Boneful (talk) 07:20, 7 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Prince Philip 99th Birthday Portrait (cropped).jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Prince Philip 99th Birthday Portrait (cropped).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{Non-free fair use}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.
