Speedy deletion nomination of Akil Ashraful edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Akil Ashraful requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 20:26, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

August 2015 edit

  Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Akil Ashraful. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. ☾Loriendrew☽ (ring-ring) 20:26, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Shopnolok Ov edit

The article Shopnolok Ov has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you.   Do not remove Biographies of Living Persons PRODs from articles, unless reliable sources have been provided. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the respective talk page instead. Thank you. MarnetteD|Talk 19:36, 2 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to remove speedy deletion notices from pages you created yourself, you may be blocked from editing. MarnetteD|Talk 19:37, 2 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Notes edit

I have undone your move of your user and talk pages. If you wish to rename your account, please see WP:CHU. Also, I have removed some content from your user page as Wikipedia is not a social network and your user page is not your "Facebook page". Finally, please heed the warnings above. Further inappropriate removal of tags will get you blocked. Please fix the issues indicated by the tags. --NeilN talk to me 22:40, 2 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Copyright edit

Some of the files you've uploaded have some serious issues that need to be fixed or you will end up permanently blocked. Wikipedia takes copyright VERY seriously, both there and on commons where you've uploaded some images. All of the images you uploaded are tagged as "Own Work", meaning YOU took the pictures. That's obviously incorrect, you did NOT take those images. This one even still has the Getty copyright in the Metadata! You CANNOT just upload any image you find on the internet - that's a copyright violation. Even worse, you then lied about it and tried to say that you took the pictures. That's deception. You need to go to commons and tag all of your images with {{copyvio}} so they can be removed and put a note on your talk page apologizing. Anything else and you'll end up blocked over there for copyright issues. Your block here won't prevent you from editing Commons, so please get that done immediately. Ravensfire (talk) 12:28, 3 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Articles MUST have sources edit

Please take a few minutes to read our reliable sources page and also our WP:CITE page. Articles you create MUST have sources for information and they must be reliable sources. In particular, articles about living people (commonly called BLP around here) must, must, must have sources or they will be deleted. You've created several articles about living people without adding a single source for anything you've added. Those articles can and will be deleted as a matter of Wikipedia policy. Also, please do not remove the tags that others have added without addressing the issues. Trying to hide the problems by deleting the tags will not work and you will end up blocked (as you've already found out) for doing that. Stop it, fix the problems in the articles. Ravensfire (talk) 12:46, 3 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Note that if you continue to upload copyright violations after your block expires, your next block will be an indefinite one. --NeilN talk to me 13:43, 3 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Nawsheen Nahreen Mou edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Nawsheen Nahreen Mou, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.biographybd.com/nowsheen-biography/.

It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) A tag has been placed on Nawsheen Nahreen Mou requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.biographybd.com/nowsheen-biography/. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Invitation from Wikipedia Asian Month 2016 edit

Thanks for partipating Wikipedia Asian Month last year, and I hope you enjoy it. Last year, more than 7,000 articles contribute to Wikipedia in 43 languages in Wikipedia Asian Month, making us one of the largest event on Wikipedia. We will organize this event again in upcoming November, and would like to invite you join us again.

This year, we are lowering down the standards that you only need to create 4 (Four) articles to receive a postcard (new design), and articles only need to be more than 3,000 bytes and 300 words. We are also improving our postcard sending process, e.g. making the postcards right now, and collecting the address after the event ends without waiting other languges.

Wikipedians who create the most articles on each Wikipedia will be honored as "Wikipedia Asian Ambassadors". We will send you both digital copy, and a paper copy of the Ambassador certificate.

Thank you for considering! --AddisWang (talk)

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Akil Ashraful. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. GSS💬 18:07, 23 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

October 2020 edit

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Akil Ashraful, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Akil Ashraful|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. GSS💬 17:28, 24 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you.
