Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Acdlomibao. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Arturo Lomibao, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Longhair\talk 11:09, 11 November 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi Acdlomibao. Thank you for declaring you conflict of interest with respect to Draft:Arturo Lomibao. Just going by your choice of username, I'm guessing that you might be a family member or friend. If that's the case, please take a look at WP:COISELF and WP:BLP#Relationship between the subject, the article, and Wikipedia for some general information about writing articles about family members who are still living. I also suggest taking a look at WP:PROUD and WP:LUC for some information on some of the drawbacks of writing an article about someone you might personally know.
Now, if by chance, you're not a family member, etc. but rather someone who has been hired to create an article about Lomibao, then you should carefully read through WP:FCOI and WP:PAID because both of these would apply to you in addition to the more general conflict of editing guidelines given in WP:PSCOI. Furthermore, you might want to consider changing your username per WP:IMPERSONATE if it's not your real name because it might be blocked to prevent any dangerous impersonation of another person. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:00, 12 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
