Don't be discouraged just because you have some oppose votes. If you succeed in the RfA, congrats! If not, don't give up what you're already doing. My RfA several years ago went horrible compared to your's. I hate having to oppose a fellow Wikipedian, but I do it for my love of the project. Maile66, your RfA is going so well! I mean compared to many RfAs that are brutal. You should be very pleased and not stressed at this point. An early congratulations. Liz Read! Talk! 21:38, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
You are now probably almost an administrator

Congratulations on your successful RfA. Check out the newly revamped WP:ADMINGUIDE and let me know if I can be of any assistance as you step into your new role. –xenotalk 15:03, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Thanks to all who supported my RFA
edit- This is rather embarrassing. I've promoted you exactly 24 hours too early. As this is clearly a mistake, I'm going to self-revert my actions. –xenotalk 15:07, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

- It is good to see you didn't cause any huge problem in those 18 seconds! — xaosflux Talk 17:00, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- I saw that, and assumed it was some kind of WP:SNOW close, even though we don't do those for RfAs! Ah well, see you again tomorrow... — Amakuru (talk) 17:27, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- You should get some kind of award for being promoted faster than anyone else. Gratz on the overwhelming support, that doesn't happen often these days. - Dank (push to talk) 14:24, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

- I think I got it right this time - your mop is back and yes, you probably set some kind of record on Wikipedia:List of resysopped users. Sorry for jumping the gun! –xenotalk 15:01, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

- Congratulations, Maile66! My only advice is to start slowly and find scripts that will make the tasks easier. Go to admins who are very active and check their .js subpages. Good luck! Liz Read! Talk! 15:39, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Congrats on your RfA, and remember, be alert for these vandals, they even might vandalize your user page and your talk page because those vandals love to hop and vandalize right at ya! Watch for these trolls, they like to mess and play around and drink the bucket's dirty water. Enjoy your mop and bucket! KGirlTrucker87 (talk) 21:00, 6 May 2016 (UTC)
A walk down memory lane
editRemember the time I promoted you 24 hours too early? I went looking for a record of the shenanigans and found they were tucked away, in a disused utility room, behind a closet door with a sign saying "beware of the panther". Why aren't they in your archives?! –xenotalk 16:20, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Xeno: Because some classic moments deserve their own sub page. I'd rank that one right up there with someone saying, "And the Academy Award goes to ... oh, no, not yet! Get back there behind the curtain!" You'll find it at User:Maile66/RFA. And thanks for reminding me. — Maile (talk) 17:45, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
