Canada WNT all-time record against other nations
editI don't want to step on any toes here (and am a relatively new wikipedian), but I got intrigued by this table on the team Canada page and wanted to look stuff up myself, since an edit war appeared to be brewing. On the Canada Soccer webpage,[1] I found what they seem to be claiming is a full historical record of WNT matches and downloaded the stuff. They were missing score data for a couple of old US matches, which I filled in from a site with US data.[2] I pieced together/cleaned up the data into a big spreadsheet manually (entirely possible I made mistake(s), but I did go over it a couple of times checking) and can definitely pass that on if anyone wants to see it. I know this table is pretty rough/basic, but I just wanted to get it up here to raise the question. Almost all of the countries have different records than the current table at the team Canada page. More often than not, that table seems to add games that Canada Soccer doesn't include, which seems kind of wacky/not what I would have expected. Anyone know what the source for the current table has been?
- Maybe the current table is including youth games? The Canada Soccer site seems to imply that the data I picked up is just full-NT stuff. I didn't get super into it, but I was able to see from a quick lookthrough that the Canada soccer data I downloaded counts the 2015 Pan Am Games, which is a full NT tournament on the women's side, although I know Canada sent a U-23 team this year (plus overage folx). In the 2007 Pan-Am games, the US sent a youth team which beat the CanWNT, but Canada soccer records that opponent as "USA-B" (at the bottom of my table) - I feel like usually those don't count as full-NT matches?
