This question has been the cause of many edits and reversions on this article so it would be lovely to get to the bottom of it. I found a transcription of the actual court case testimony

At face value it seems clear they weren't dating but I recall discovering an alternate interpretation a few months ago, cannot remember what it is now. - Quite a number of sources consistently use "boyfriend": "her boyfriend Phoenix Luna", "to stab her boyfriend", "attempted to murder her boyfriend", "plunging a kitchen knife into the stomach of her boyfriend" etc. etc. etc. The changed being attempted on the article over the last many days lack any supporting citations. - Also, I concur the translation is problematic. Tossing it into Google Translate yields confusing text. Regardless, this is a primary source and needs to be used carefully.
