Notes edit

Considering that my mother works at Yankee Candle (though she's currently trying to bail out due to the decline in working environment), and the store is a mere 45 minute walk from my house, I really ought to go take some pictures and get specific data from the store.--Quintucket 17:49, 26 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest edit

Why is it that Yankee Candles is the ONLY candle company allowed to be listed with wiki? If they can be listed here then all the other companys should have the same right! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.178.135.63 (talk) 19:07, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I know this is a little late (ok, a lot late), but it should be addressed. The idea that "other articles exist" is not a good reason for inclusion...ever. This article exists because the company has many reliable sources to indicate the company's notability. If other companies can show that, then, by all means, they should have articles as well. However, if they can't, then they should not exist, which is where the majority of other candle companies would fall. --132 21:52, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

This article is being edited by multiple employees of the company. User:Wackalectic is an Internet Strategist[1] and User:Annmariehall is in Public Relations[2]. Please remember to maintain a neutral point of view. Also, they both have added copyrighted information to the article from [3] and [4].↔NMajdantalkEditorReview 17:22, 16 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

The history portion that I have edited dates back to the beginning of the company starting in 1969 through 1980. References to complete citations on this information do not originate from a website. They are print materials from Marcus Printing in Holyoke, MA.and documents such as work orders,YC work logs, promissory notes and legal contracts put together by attorney Michael Joseph of Springfield, MA. If anyone from Yankee Candle public relations or archives would like verification of these documents they can be provided. Yccofounder 00:29, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Store in Broadway, Worcestershire, England - Only dedicated YC store outside North America? edit

There is an independently-owned store in the Cotswold tourist village of Broadway, Worcestershire, England52°02′08″N 1°51′45″W / 52.035437°N 1.862451°W / 52.035437; -1.862451 which, other than a few vintage posters, sells only Yankee Candle products. Although YC products are available on the shelves of a number of larger stores in the UK, to my knowledge this is the only dedicated Yankee Candle shop outside North America. Is this assumption correct? Certainly not, Until Jan 2011 The Delight group of 7 shops across the Midlands in England were exclusivly Yankee Candle until they went into administration in January 2011 and Magic By Candlelight, a small shop in Stafford, England was solely Yankee Candle in the years 2004 - 2011 when it began to sell other products with a better profit margin but is still 90% Yankee Candle —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.154.73.49 (talk) 21:36, 5 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

The shop has no sign nor name, and is owned and operated by the nearby Hamiltons Sweet Shop. Receipts (UKUS: bills) bear the name Hamiltons. I have added an image to the main article, and there's another here. The shop is located in Cotswold Court, a small shopping arcade (UKUS: mall) off the main high street. Other languages edit

I would like to translate this article to norwegian. How can I do that? :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nissjenta (talkcontribs) 12:15, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Create an account on the Norwegian Wikipedia and start the article there. Then read WP:IL on info on how to link the two articles. — HelloAnnyong (say whaaat?!) 12:20, 20 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Place of Manufacture edit

I am very surprised that this article does not mention WHERE the candles are manufactured. I would like to know this please. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.205.119.43 (talkcontribs) 16:12, 2 October 2012
