Place of death edit

If one refers to the German state Hanover at "place of birth" then one should although refer to the state at the "place of death" which is Prussia. I corrected this.

Company foundation date edit

The Siemems archive has provided the correct foundation date for the company. Relevant email segments will be added to Talk:Carl Wilhelm Siemens (in a few days). Noisy | Talk 17:32, July 19, 2005 (UTC)

Werner or Ernst Werner edit

What was his name? monkey From the second paragraph on he is only called Werner. Could somebody explain that? Ben T/C 11:57, 13 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Although Ernst Werner is the correct name, Siemens is usually referred to as 'Werner von Siemens'. -- mamut 15:06, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Which one? edit

Siemens left school without finishing his education, but joined the army to undertake training in engineering....

Do we know which army? Hanover was a kingdom after 1815 and its union with the United Kingdom (via the Hanoverian Succession) ended in 1837. It remained a kingdom until 1866, when it was annexed by Prussia.
