  • ... that Vittoria Alliata di Villafranca translated Tolkein's The Lord of the Rings into Italian aged 15 to 17, then wrested control of the family's 100-room summer palace from Opus Dei and the Mafia? Source: "Villa Valguarnera, owned by Princess Vittoria Alliata di Villafranca ... Vittoria recounts her life: how she translated The Lord Of The Rings from English to Italian when she was 15 years old ... When her aunt died in 1988, she left half of Villa Valguarnera to Opus Dei. The family contested the will, but while it was in probate the Mafia sequestered the villa and installed a guardian. The intention, it was rumoured, was to open a casino. She has won the villa back but not all of the land." ([1])
    • ALT1:... that ...? Source: "You are strongly encouraged to quote the source text supporting each hook" (and [link] the source, or cite it briefly without using citation templates)

  • The prose portion is currently at 1407 characters, which is below the threshold of 1500. Can you expand the article with 93 characters or more? I've also added a couple of citation needed tags. The info might be available in sources already used in the article, I clicked on three (Times, Barbadillo and CC Traveller) but couldn't find it there. Some of the wording is unnecessarily close to The Times and I think the quote about cows etc should be replaced by normal prose. QPQ is not yet done, as stated above. Otherwise it looks good. • Thank you, Ffranc for expanding it to 1798 characters. QPQ now done. Will look at your other points. Edwardx (talk) 14:01, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • References added from Italian language sources (checked with online translation, as my Italian is limited), and quote turned into prose. Edwardx (talk) 14:15, 17 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Everything looks good. Nice job. Ffranc (talk) 08:44, 18 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Edwardx, I was going to promote this today, but there's a problem with the hook. Your source says she was 15 when she translated Lord of the Rings, but your hook says 16. Either the hook needs to be changed, or you need a different source for this fact in the article. MeegsC (talk) 12:05, 18 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Thank you, MeegsC and Ffranc. Reading the sources more closely, she did the translation aged 15 to 17, and the first volume (of three) was published when she was 16 (or perhaps 17?). "Vittoria Alliata è stata la prima traduttrice de Il signore degli anelli, libro che ha affrontato all’età di 15/17 anni." in Il Post). I have expanded the article, and tweaked the lead and the hook accordingly.Edwardx (talk) 12:30, 18 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
