The Parks
editI can't seem to fit this in without making the text look ugly, but in cricketing circles the place is very often known informally as simply "The Parks". There's already a redirect to that effect, but it might be useful to have a mention in the article itself. Loganberry (Talk) 01:27, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
- I thought the name derived from the parking of royalist canons on open land in the Civil War thus giving rise to the term 16 November2017Clive sweeting (talk) 13:42, 16 November 2017 (UTC)Clive sweeting

Match: University v New Zealanders 1927
editAre we sure that this match was played at the New College Ground rather than the University Parks?
I realise the following sources may be no good or deprecated, but they indicate this match was played in the Parks: 1 2 as do these archived versions of CricketArchive: September 2014 May 2015 October 2015.
Furthermore, these versions of CricketArchive states only two first-class matches were played at the New College Ground, October 2015 March 2016 June 2016.
I know this version of CricketArchive: October 2022 has the match at the New College Ground, as well as this version of CricketArchive May 2022 showing the New College Ground now as having hosted three first-class matches.
A number of sources now show the New College Ground had three first-class matches, but I would like to know when the change was made between 2015 and 2022, and based on what sources? Alas I am not a member of the ACS.
I am interested, if only because the Wiki page on the Parks states Oxford only played at the New College Ground in 1906 and 1907 and not in 1927, and I'd like to change that if there was real evidence of this match being at St Cross Road rather than CricketArchive saying one thing then another without justifying it or providing evidence.
