IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED TO MAGIC NUMBERS PAGE - TO DO LIST

edit

Text seems to need:

(a) four individual group profiles;

(b) fuller background section for both families;

(c) section explaining name 'Magic Numbers' (could this be, 2+2=4??);

(d) expansion and updating of 'Information' section;

(e) some 'forthcoming album' information, e.g. about a 2nd album being under construction (if this is the case).

(f) The link to the Amsterdam concert (fabchannel) is outdated, rights on that have expired so it's gone. But I don't like messing wiht the page myself, seems people are keeping well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.172.109.246 (talk) 21:55, 19 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

What type of music is it?

edit

Is this an information, that shouldn't be in an encyclopedic article? Why didn't anyone describe the bands music? Monoblonde 22:03, 23 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Nick Hornby and Nic Harcourt

edit

I'm too busy to write it up and format it a/t/m, but it's interesting that Nick Hornby has praised their music: [1]. Also I remember Nic Harcourt of Morning Becomes Eclectic including them among his favorite music of '05 (see [2], but I guess he praises a lot of music since it's his job.  :) Anyway, if anyone else thinks this sort of critical acclaim is interesting and encyclopedic, I do too. Are they English?

edit

Is a band with two members born in Trinidad (or Scottish and Portuguese parents) and two presumably English members (the article is not explicit) actually English? Something which is highlighted when the singers sound American. --WeAreSilver 20:40, 6 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:TheMagicNumbers.jpg

edit

Image:TheMagicNumbers.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Appearance in "The Harry Hill Movie"

edit

The Magic Numbers appeared in "The Harry Hill Movie" and performed a song while showing Harry and company around their B&B. Seems worth a mention as a pop culture reference. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.146.100.110 (talk) 09:40, 27 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

article voice is not terribly passive

edit

The article "voice" really sounds like this has been written as a PR piece. -- 2A00:23C5:69CE:DF00:3896:6CDC:E58D:518C (talk) 14:24, 3 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
