2008 edit

The Skepticism/Optimism sections taken together seem a valid neutral balance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.79.14.161 (talk) 18:13, 9 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

More secondary sources edit

The article seems to be sourced by an excess of primary sources and not very many secondary sources. Over time, I think we should be looking to source more of the claims from secondary articles about this technology, which may help keep the article balanced.

Here are a couple of articles from Popular Science, which may help. Cheers. N2e (talk) 17:00, 1 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Photo edit

This article would be much improved if a photo were to be added. N2e (talk) 19:29, 3 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed update based on recent press release edit

  • Information to be added or removed:

I would like the following content to be added after the sentence "In 2017 the first delivery of the Transition was forecast for 2019, but this deadline was not met, and by 2020 none had yet been delivered.[3]"

In January 2021, Terrafugia announced that a Transition vehicle had received an airworthiness certificate, that the vehicle that received the certificate is legal for flight, and that the vehicle represents the initial version of the Transition roadable aircraft. Terrafugia noted they will produce and sell additional initial (flight-only) versions to interested parties and is aiming to have the Transition be legal both in the sky and on local roads in 2022.

  • Explanation of issue:

This page is out of date in many ways, and it would be nice to update it with some facts. I am an employee, so I do not want to try to do too much; I definitely respect the conflict-of-interest guidelines and protections. But the fact that we now have a product that is eligible be sold to the public seems like a reasonable update to include. I do not see this as a promotion of the company in the sense of trying to boost sales; my intent was more to demonstrate that Terrafugia is an ongoing concern.

I am not paid to alter Wikipedia. The proposed language does come from a press release, but it is factual and IMHO does not seem very different from the preceding sentence. Maybe someone could edit it to make it more neutral somehow? Or perhaps it is better placed down in the Transition section?

Thanks for bringing this here. Another editor added a summary from the press release and I removed some older info and updated Terrafugia Transition as well. - Ahunt (talk) 03:31, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
