Infobox
editThe parameter for the infobox is clearly labelled "platforms in use", so rather than "5 (2 operational" should read simply "2". Chris cheese whine 05:51, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Punjabi signage
editWent through Southall today (19 August) and on every station nameboard that I could see the Punjabi version of the station name had been painted out. Is this a permanent change, and if so, can anyone source a reference? I'm loathe to amend the article until I'm sure that I didn't just catch them replacing the signs or similar. Personally im glad its removed, the biliginal sign is a indercation of immgrents taking over britan, but alas the signs will be put back according to a bbc news report —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.24.175.199 (talk) 23:22, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
- Before you start moaning about "immigrants taking over Britain," maybe you should learn to write English properly? If there is any such problem with this country, it is that many "native" Brits cannot read, write or even speak their own language properly. 78.86.12.25 15:45, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Crossrail icon.png
editImage:Crossrail icon.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Yup. I guess it could be added since it's of interest to those who visit. - Gamerunknown (talk) 19:08, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
Past services
editThe usual WP misuse of "disused" for former services occurs here - the District services are "discontinued", not on a "disused railway", and surely were way before London Underground was. But the space-filling coloured boxes make no mention of the Brentford line.--SilasW (talk) 15:09, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
ਸਾਊਥਹਾਲ
editThe article is not clear whether "ਸਾਊਥਹਾਲ" transliterates "Punjabi" or "Southall".--SilasW (talk) 21:44, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
- Done Judging by this photo, it's the station name. --Redrose64 (talk) 22:16, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
Bilingual signs
editThe Wallsend Metro station says the Southall station is one of three bilingual rail stations in Britain, but the Wallsend signs are unlikely to be controversial, since the immigrants for those signs came two thousand years ago, more or less. --DThomsen8 (talk) 20:27, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
- Is the sign still there? The article is unclear. Rwood128 (talk) 17:10, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
