There are no proves about this issue. The police arrested Mr. Shafi, Hamed Shafi and Mrs. Tooba Yahya JUST in custody. This article is difaming a family and their good name. Please delete this article for now.

King regards

I'm sorry about your friends being "difamed", but you have to stop being so blind. Plus, you don't decide what Wikipedia does. You already change all of our traditions by being so offended by everything; why should we take down an article about a notable, major event about a wife and three kids being murdered just because you don't like it? It happened. Deal with it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.33.62.49 (talk) 21:47, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Whether or not there is proof of murder does not matter. What matters is this is a notable case, as such Wikipedia can / and should have an article about it, regardless of guilt. - RoyBoy 17:50, 26 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Whether you like it or not, Mohammad, Tooba and Hamed will face the ultimate justice in this Country. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.24.167.8 (talk) 03:28, 27 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

How did the girls die? edit

What actually was the cause of death? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.91.207.3 (talk) 21:09, 14 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Official cause of death is drowning. It is unknown, however, if the victims drowned in the canal (where they were found). Prosecution theorizes that they "were drowned" somewhere else and then put in the canal. The fact that victims didn't try to get out from under just 3 feet of water while not wearing seatbelts and with a car's side window rolled down also supports prosecution theory. The defense insists it was a horrible accident. Trial continues, so what the jury decides remains to be seen. -- Zealander 03:30, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Here's a great recap of the case: http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2011/12/15/christie-blatchford-shafia-trial-refresher-course/

Useful link with info that needs inclusion otherwise it looks like Wikipedia supports unsourced allegations that say "they were Muslims so of course it was murder, we don't need no stinking evidence or sources." CarolMooreDC 19:17, 30 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Unref'd material must be removed per WP:BLP edit

There is a lot of unsourced and sometimes questionable material in here which is against WP:Biographies of living people. Those interested in the subject should do so in the next day or two or it will have to be cut to that properly referenced. Thanks. CarolMooreDC 00:19, 30 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

References Incorrect edit

All the references in the "Media Coverage of the Shafia Murder Trial" section incorrectly point to the same source (a CBC news article). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.128.38.161 (talk) 16:33, 10 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
