Robert Balgarnie Young ScottR. B. Y. Scott – Per WP:COMMONNAME as the subject is almost never referred to by his full name (see, e.g., this ngram). 142.160.89.97 (talk) 19:40, 7 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

This is a contested technical request (permalink). Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:22, 8 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Anthony Appleyard: How would that be reconcilable with WP:INITS which provides, Generally, use the most common format of a name used in reliable sources: if that is with a middle name or initials, make the Wikipedia article title conform to that format. Examples: John F. Kennedy, Thomas John Barnardo, George H. W. Bush, J. P. Morgan? As you can see in the ngram, there's literally no results there for the subject's full name. And in a Google search, the full name gets 500 results versus 11,000 for the initials (and many of those 500 results appear to be from sources that either uniformly use people's full names irrespective of common usage or that primarily use the subject's initials while offering the full name once for clarification). 142.160.89.97 (talk) 04:54, 8 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
