"Sometimes the article is more readable if multiple citations are bundled into a single footnote" - I don't think that applies here. GiantSnowman 09:28, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yes it does. It applies whenever citation numbers intrude into the readability of the text. [1][2] is obtrusive. You would never see it in a book; why accept it in Wikipedia? Emeraude (talk) 11:59, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
I know WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS but it's literally everywhere. That's why it says "sometimes". GiantSnowman 15:06, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Nothing to with OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. The article is more readable if the citations are bundled and there is no reason for them not to be (e.g. where refs are reused in an article). Emeraude (talk) 07:18, 23 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Disagree. GiantSnowman 08:46, 23 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Well I know that. Emeraude (talk) 09:13, 23 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
