Speedy delete
editI don't understand the speedy delete. The subject seems notable an important first in the history of the armoured car and crime. There is a good link to a reliable source. OK so its short, but maybe theres not much more to say. --Salix alba 02:42, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
- The original article was a one line about a Paul Jaworski born 1989 and no other info. It was speedy deleted of course. This is now the proper article. I've even removed the AfD. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 02:46, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
It make take that, the vote has already finished as speedy delete, so the page could disapear any moment now. I've copied the text to Talk:Armoured car. --Salix alba 02:53, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
Contesting Speedy Delete
editI've placed a hang on tag for speed delete. 1) He seems to be mentioned in this book: Amazon Book. 2)He's also mentioned here, which as far as I can tell is a genuine news story. The Great Detroit News Payroll Robbery So at the moment, I've think it's very hastey to delete it. Englishrose 10:12, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
- I'd actually suggest a move to First armoured car robbery --Salix alba 11:04, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
- I've redirected that page so the search goes here to make it easier for people to find. Englishrose 07:57, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
Footnote
editI found the info that backs many of the article's claims (especially a source for an actual conviction for this particular gang member) in the external link, so I deleted it as an external link and added it to the article in a couple of places where it fits. But I know there's a way to combine footnotes 3 and four into just footnote 3, displayed twice. However, I don't know what that way is. If someone else will do it, I'll learn. Thanks in advance. Merge
edit- Merge I have suggested that Paul Jarwarski be mergede with this article.Pustelnik (talk) 14:59, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
- Endorse merge Pustelnik has done a lot of good work here. I have one quibble, but it doesn't affect my endorsement of the proposed merger.
- I question whether the serial killers category is fair. Habitual maybe, but serial? His killings weren't part of a connected series. FWIW, I think serial killer should be reserved for the Ted Bundys, Jeffrey Dahmers and Hillside Strangler-types of the world.
- But like I said, small beer. Kudos for admirable work to turn two weak stubs into one, much-better article. David in DC (talk) 18:56, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'll accept that as a valid point. He did admit to killing seven people, however. He does not quite fit the serial killer definitions, but comes close. I removed the category. Pustelnik (talk) 19:32, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
Ohio ?
editHis major robberies were in Detroit, and just outside of Pitssburgh, but I can't find anything in between, like Ohio. Why is he in the "from Cleveland" category? Pustelnik (talk) 20:34, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
There is an RfC on the question of using "Religion: None" vs. "Religion: None (atheist)" in the infobox on this and other similar pages.
The RfC is at Template talk:Infobox person#RfC: Religion infobox entries for individuals that have no religion.
Please help us determine consensus on this issue. --Guy Macon (talk) 05:19, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
