Photo Quality
editDo you really think image (Bellas Artes picture Mexico bellas artes palace 1.jpg) has the "quality" to be in this article?. I just did a quick search in Wikimedia Commons and I found the same picture 2 times uploaded by the same author (see gallery table below). In fact I think there are too many Bellas Artes pictures. If someone ask me I rather image (Palacio de bellas artes 1.jpg) to be the "main" photo for this article.

I'd be in favor of avoiding duplication; I agree that several pictures of the palace's front are redundant and perhaps a choice should be made. I'd also be in favor of having detailed shots of some of the palace's features; for instance if the pegasus statues are deemed interesting they could be a subject on their own. I was also eager to get a picture of the bronze curtain but haven't had a chance to do so. I'm not really in a position to cast a vote on any of the pictures, since I uploaded one of them.
Intro too long
editIt is a good article, but the intro is too long. Couldn't some of the info be moved to ther sub-sections. Thanks! --Nandonaranja (talk) 19:27, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
"Tiffany's" reference is ambiguous
editThe stained glass was done by Tiffany Studios, not Tiffany & Co. Louis Comfort Tiffany is the famous glass artist (Tiffany Studios) whereas his father was the jeweler. They are not the same. In other words, Tiffany lamps and stains glass windows don't come from Tiffany & Co., so describing the stained glass curtain here as "Tiffany's" is misleading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.137.88.43 (talk) 14:44, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Palacio de Bellas Artes → Palace of Fine Arts (Mexico City) – English translation for English Wikipedia --Another Believer (Talk) 19:10, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose doing the "is" test in GBooks just got 8 results for the Spanish name vs 3 hits in last 20 years for English, so no. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:17, 26 November 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose There is a redirect to the translation. Most sourcing is found in the correct Spanish title. We don't translate the name of the Louvre Museum to the "Museum of the Horizontal Slat" nor the Uffizi to the "Palace of Offices". They are known by the internationally recognized term. SusunW (talk) 16:08, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose. The common name is the Spanish one. WP:UE does not mean that everything needs to be translated into English. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:20, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
- The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
