Contested deletion edit

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because the information about her medals while representing the USA in international competitions constitutes a credible assertion of notability. -208.81.148.195 (talk) 23:56, 9 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Queries edit

Since UConn was never defined, and University of Connecticut was never mentioned here, I have addressed that in the lead.

  • That year, she assumed a more important role and became one of the team's leading scorers and passers. It was her first year; more important than what, in relation to what or whom?
  • What is a "five-star recruit"?

SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:49, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • @SandyGeorgia: The first sentence was in relation to her eighth-grade season, in which she played for the same team, and I have now clarified this. Also added a link to star ratings in "five-star recruit." Sportzeditz (talk) 23:45, 18 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, looks good! Good luck on TFA day, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 00:45, 19 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Notability edit

What is so special about her compared to other female basketball players? I'm not seeing anything here that makes her special.

It's in the lead of the article? "Bueckers has won three gold medals with the United States at the youth international level, including at the 2019 FIBA Under-19 World Cup, where she was named Most Valuable Player. She was a Youth Olympic gold medalist in 3x3 basketball and has played for the senior national 3x3 team. Bueckers was recognized as USA Basketball Female Athlete of the Year in 2019." You're right. We should make an article about you, instead. "216.152.18.132 is a great Wikipedian, known for crusading against 20-year-olds." ‡ El cid, el campeador talk 13:04, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Olympic bound? edit

I think she should be competing at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. Do you? Nate-Dawg921 (talk) 04:29, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

Are you sharing an opinion here or asking for validity? If you're simply sharing what you think, note that talk pages are not a forum and general discussion not involved with creating an encyclopedia should be taken elsewhere. If you have a potential improvement to the article, you may suggest it here, but remember that these pages are to be used to discuss how to improve articles and not to offer general discussion about its subject(s). - Cheers, KoolKidz112 (hit me up) 16:48, 28 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
